Nice!
You've got a really good sound here. The guitars sound fantastic. I love when the other guitar comes in. It's such a nice, organic sound, as an acoustic should sound. Reminds me of Jimmy Page's acoustic on Led Zeppelin III. Your multi- tracked voices go really well with the music. Some fantastic playing too.
I don't like the fade out at the end. I think a stop would suit the song better or a longer fade. There is also a crack or something near the begining. Small complaints for a wonderful tune. Keep it up!

Gentle tune
Another nice one Steve - guitar sounds excellent, especially in the solo. Subtle harmony works very well - vox as smooth (and deep) as always.

thanks
Cheers everyone..yes this track was done pretty quickly and is basically a live performance with a bit of overdubbed acoustic. I do seem to get a problem with extraneous noise picking up through the mic...but I guess it adds to the authentic 'field recording' vibe, I am sure that Alan Lomax would have approved!
Thanks for listening
Steve

Really nice vibe to this track :)
The doubled voice in the chorus is perfect!

You're getting a nice....
...softer vocal tone here, which is well matched with the occasional doubling...

The acoustic tone here actually doesn't sound to my ears like Page's, at least not the rhythm part. (With all respect to Slotogenic's differing perspective...) This reminds me more of the drier duets between Renbourn and Jansch in their 'Bert and John' period. Dry recording with a little room sound.

This is one of those ones that would take to working up, if you ever wanting to vault it out of demo status....

I look forward gleefully to the long outro guitar solo, set against subtle percussion and an upright bass... See if you can get Danny Thompson...

Yep
I am a fan of that Bert and John album...more a fan of Bert than John though I have to say! John Renbourn always seemed to me to be more of a 'guitar scholar' whereas Bert was and is raw and real.
I like the idea of capturing a live acoustic performance on these tracks (although I obviously cheated here by overdubbing more guitar and a harmony vocal). Well it would be cool to work with a bass player like Danny Thompson...I have seen him play with Richard Thompson a few times and he never fails to create a fabulous bass vibe.
Cheers

Nice playing!
And nice writing---your voice sounds great on this, and the harmonies are right on. The production is awfully clean to count as "lo-fi" in my book.
