Description
Richard has finished putting lyrics to my guitarwork and extending the piece. He has done a remarkable job of singing, rythmically and lyrically, capturing with both exactly the intended feel of the composition in this form.

Lyrics
Ansiedad

Mirabile canare,
How wonderful to sing my verse
to God who is so faraway.
Does he hear my prayerful curse?

Step away, look around.

Mirabile canare,
My journey from the abyss
on a sand choked safari
seeking eternal bliss

I am here to be found.

Mirabile canare,
A blessed sign is all I ask
Have I said that I'm sorry
for having taken you to task?

Thanks so much...
Richards collaborations with Spain, Germany, and Italy really propelled me on this, I couldn't be more greatful to him for then completing the work with his voice and lyrical composition so true to the purity of the form I admire so much, while achieving the modern without losing the ancient, the school of flamenco I very much strive to achieve in, out of love for it.

...now you two have brought this home! Very, very nice. Yes, Richard's vox really compliments your fine playing Ian. Isn't it cool to come to a place like MJ's and find kindred spirits? I hope this isn't your last collab. BRAVO!

Be well gents!

Thank You
I am so glad you think so, Richard sure did come up with some nice lyrics. I love the way he weaves in and out with the guitar too, it is very exciting, and very much a part of the art of singing seguirillas. It is so nice to find a community where such things are possible.

Great!!!
Mystery my is my favorite thing, I try to bring out my recent discoveries of mystical phenomena in the universe. I am bewitched by what I am finding, so admirable of it I want to celbrate it through music, like richard says, searching for eternal bliss. Everything is so natural working with Richard, just as with Feter.

richard said at chat...
"Despair, lamentation, mystery and apology"

I had to put that down for the record, love it. May I ask:

eternal bliss=nirvana???

Bliss
Well, some Earth-dwelling motivational speakers talk about "following your bliss". My 94-year-old mother is seeking eternal bliss in a Maronite Catholic heaven. I am somewhere between those two blissters.

Lovely!
I am writing this comments as i listen to the song. The opening guitar is really entrancing. I love the flamenco style which immediately gets you in the right mood. Richard's vocals takes on another role play here (he has assumed so many vocal roles in the past), this time a Spanish virtuoso and he does it so effectively! You guys make a magical team for this kind of music, and I hope you do more of this. Ian, I hope that someday you can play your guitar on one of my songs, too. That will be very fulfilling.

Wow...
I would love to play on one of your songs!!! This would be a new area for me to enter, but one I am very eager to enter, like the last song of yours (pop, mainstream, sexy, fun). I know, what you mean about richard. He sings flamenco as if he was a quality flamenco singer that grew up in spain and has been doing it all his life, and he brings something very new to it. I hope I get to collab with him more, but I am worried after this, he is going to be hard to get a hold out of the popular demand for him in the flamenco world. Though I am happy for him, if it is something he would want to do, that is. In any case I wouldn't let go of what he is doing now either!!!

It's the hair?
Now, now, Ian. I'll be around. I've been wailing at MacJams for 2-1/2 years and no one has come knocking yet, waving a contract scroll in front of me. Maybe it's the way I have been parting my hair? Dunno. LOL.

excellence
is what you get bec what you are doing is so so hard and it seems easy to you wow great playing
eanbardsley said 1028 days ago (January 16th, 2007)
ego, thanks
but remember, flamenco has some sophisticated techniques, that require some hard work, I admit, but, and I am sure you already know this, technique is a tool for better interfacing yourself with the instrument so it serves you, but for me I work on it because I seek, as Richard sang, eternal bliss, and that is how I try to get there. You have a great interface also, the who meets rolling stones was great.

Thank You Feter
That means allot to me, such is what I strive for, and your saying that really makes me happy because I have the highest respect for you as a musician and human being. Your spirit is truly kind and you are a musician of the highest caliber. You bring to mind the Indian concept of Dharma, that beyond which no thought exists. I think I speak for everyone here at our MJ circle, when I say you are a brave and valorous soul, that it bring tears to they eyes to think what has befallen Iraq, the unjust suffering that you and your people have had to endure. I know we all here want more than anything, peace upon Iraq, that the world make its priority the peace and prosperity of noble the people of Iraq, who truly are the heroes.

daily bread
I also send my respect to talented, yearning Feter. I also hope that civility and peace will come to the good people of Iraq. We are one in Spirit. We must not allow mistrust and greed to divide the human family and consume lives. What can each of us do on a daily basis to help?
