Turn the mental distortion up to 11. This is more delightful twisted tunage from the "Menage a twisted". Great great work here. I love the upturned "Star Trek siren" sound, the weird vox, and strangely intoxicating words bubbling past. There is something under the surface of this that is really horribly wrong and dangerous... but I have to keep looking and listening, fascinated by the sparkles of the the light on the seemingly harmless water.

I was referring to the synth pad that quickly and continuously sweeps up, doing a "dwee dwee dweee" sound, starting in the chorus when Tan starts repeating "Never think twice". The old original Star Trek TV series had a similar sound for their "Alarm" on the Enterprise. :-) It is very retro-sounding, but not a bad sound, it just was slightly humorous to me, when I made that connection. I needed some humor just then, because this song is just a little creepy. :-) Which is also a good thing.

wow this is as tropical and colour as that subliminal fish artwork..
string was done so well. i could imagine this being played as a soundtrack of a very very hip animated film or an action movie ;-0! it's quite cool as a single piece too..! love the bass and other linear elements artfully organised.. thanks for sharing!! [ Reply to This ]
