Description:
this song was the B side of let it go. recorded in the bigger 24 trk studio in the 1980's. all the noises are bass and guitars(no synths).. we were reacting to a politcal situation in nicaragua. It felt like that war was becoming another vietnam.. what goes around... the vocal part i recorded in garage band recently.. it was a part we wanted to do ,, but never got it together. the scratches you hear are real, from vinyl. The bass and drums pattern is in 7/8 time and the guitar is 4/4 on top. mudpal k

These recordings are special and a treat to listen to. Can imaging you had some energy to pour out in the music from that on going political situation.

Great space - natural space &mdash 01/18/07 - 07:09:49 PM
digital space just ain't the same. Slidey and nervey Kevlar geetar - boomy drumz and thrummy bass - ghostly vox - what more could a girl ask for? Yum. Excellent blending of the new vox BTW. [ Reply to This ]

I love the images this manages to convey - the ethnic flare coupled with your striking song art brings about most imaginative scenery. I fell into a daydream listening to this. It's really a journey of a song. I like this very much... [ Reply to This ]

true &mdash 01/19/07 - 10:45:48 PM
who needs synths all the time. theres ways around that. i also believe ther is the program "soap" that can take out unwanted scratches and pops from vinyl. very asian jungle drum feel. [ Reply to This ]

...I just finished listening to "pain & beauty" by racerat (http://www.macjams.com/song/28090), and this tune works really well with theirs. Both excellent tracks... by excellent musicians. [ Reply to This ]

men of mud &mdash 01/20/07 - 06:16:53 PM
all hail the mudmen!
i felt like i was in the middle of some sort of shamanistic ceremony where all the wonders of the world revealled themselves to me and i understood all things good and bad and then total compassion and love enveloped me and my soul cried out for joy and i never wanted to leave but then the song ended so i just warmed up a white castle in the microwave and ate it. Another great track. Good job of making new vocals fit into an old recording. Is the music recorded from the actual vinyl? It sounds really good, scrathes and all. [ Reply to This ]

Not in Kansas any more... which is good. &mdash 01/25/07 - 02:14:49 PM
Art rock is a good genre for this; it takes you away from the tried and true (and safe), and into sparsely populated territory. Great stuff! [ Reply to This ]

another awesome track &mdash 03/05/07 - 12:08:39 PM
I love the rhythmic dissonence (spelling?) on this one. Your songs have a huge landscape - like led zep, great production. [ Reply to This ]
Another great track &mdash 03/27/07 - 02:36:55 PM
This sounds really polished guys, and has a massive feel to it. the drums keep pushing forward, while electric chaos whirls around them.
The track feels like your hunched, waiting in anticipation.
Tense stuff - excellent.

FRESH &mdash 04/08/07 - 07:43:13 PM
Interesting. I listened to the track first and only later read the band bio. This stuff sounds as fresh as if you'd recorded it last week. Sure, there are some crackles from the vinyl, but hey - that's hip too nowadays.
Very nice to listen to. Aren't you gonna do something new? Are you only posting your old releases? I hope you do something new... [ Reply to This ]
