Description:
A song made by my dad. I sing together with my friend Eline. We sing about traveling to the moon (reizen naar de maan), instead of spending our vacation at the beach.
I hope you enjoy it :-)
Lyrics:
Nog een dag of zeven en de school is weer gedaan.
De boekentas mag weg want de vakantie komt eraan.
Mama pakt de koffers, papa zet de auto klaar.
En straks weer in de file rijden naar ik weet niet waar.
Heb je ook dat raar gevoel, is het echt de moeite waard?
Kijk eens op de kaart.
Toch niet weer naar Frankrijk, Spanje, zeker niet naar zee.
Ik wil wat anders, ‘k ben het beu, dit jaar ga ik niet mee.
Zeker weten, we reizen naar de maan.
Je moet het me beloven, trek je ruimtepak maar aan.
Laat de wagen op de oprit staan.
We huren een raket en komen morgenvroeg al aan.
Weg met al die drukte, ‘k heb geen zin in een hotel.
Die knaloranje moonboots doen het vast en zeker wel.
Kijk eens door het raam van onze coole maanraket.
Wie heeft er al die lichtjes langs de melkweg aangezet?

Nooit zoiets beleefd.

I like the music... I like your singing (especially the chorus with the high harmony)... and I like the idea of the lyrics (I can imagine the words, given your description.) I hope you have fun with making music, you are doing very well with it! My daughter just got her own Mac and Garageband for Christmas... now she is trying to write songs too. She just told me "Dad, I appreciate your songs more now.. this is hard to do!" Very good work Flo and Eline, I hope you make more! It is a song that sounds like "longing" or wanting to do something, sad and wishful.

Your harmonies are very tight & in tune....there are many adults who cannot sing in harmony-(me especially!)

I have two young nieces, who are the sweetest things in the world. Your very young voices kinda remind me of them. They are the most artistic girls in the world who are great at fine arts, but they are not natural born singers like you are. Totally enjoyed this ditty! When I was about 5 years old I heard a song on a children's television show about wanting to live on the moon. I don't remember how the song goes, but it has haunted me for 20 years.
