Description
This song puts the fun in funk. or maybe the unk in funk - I'm not sure. Too upbeat to be sexy. Too cheesy to be romantic. And too groovy not to share.

This rocks
A nice tight funky groove here. The instrumentation is right on perfect. Enjoyed it immensely. It's totally cool as an instrumental but I'd really like to hear someone who can really wail to put some vocals to this.

Can you sing?
If so, you are more than welcome to provide the wailing. Thanks for the feedback.

Spunky Spank!
This is a really solid mix, K! Parts may be a little thick, however. Easy fix though -- and would help the dynamics of the tune. I was totally groovin' to this one. I love the bass solos, but maybe lower the volume a bit more on the other tracks during it (???). The horns are sweet, but sound a bit detached due to the excess "room" on them. Can you lower the reverb on those horn samples? And the panning on them is a little strange for the genre.

I hope you don't mind the advice. The mix sounds pretty darn good to me, and I love the energy in this. Spanky spanky spanky!

Au contraire
I'm always pleased to get constructive comments from a listener - especially someone of your calibre.

I tend to rush things to market, so to speak. Part of it comes from impatience - as I'm working on one tune I'm already thinking about the next one.

I have gone back and reworked some of my older tunes so I see no reason why this one should not undergo some tweaking.

I can almost hear how it would sound with your suggestions implemented. Thanks for the help.

At first I heard the loops
then I heard the person at the controls and my hat went off. Great ear for dynamics and how to keep it funky and interesting. Way to go!

get down
Is this you playing all, some or is it mostly loops? Would be nice to know:) The performance on the individual instruments is very good, and it's very well arranged and put together. Got my feet movin'.

Thanks for pointing me to this one:)

Coffee funk
Fast ride without jitters! Nice unexpected guitar in the middle. It lays a nice bed for subsequent bass solo and sycopations.

Really groovy song
Really digging the vibe. Man! the musicians must have been beat afterwards. No puns intended. Somebody must have bombed this and shouldn't have. The guitar is just BAD! in a good way and I love that slap bass all the way through this... everything else is just icing. The only thing, the panning of the guitar? Thanks for sharing...

Well, now...
Funke funke funke! Because I have such disdain for post about ratings, I came here to bomb you some low scores without leaving a commet. - juuuust KIDDING!!! Unthinkable - I danced away in too good of mood to even think of it - I don't know why I was so amazed!

I think that MissC had some good constructive crit, too - I thoroughly enjoyed this and it made me bomb you the other way, and with comments.

I'm sorry that it was such an unexpected suprise, but I am duly, humbled!

Thanks, CJ - Macca

Funky funky!
Is this all loops? It sounds cool, but it's missing a certain spark. The guitar solo is cool, but the rest is too much a backing track.

On the other hand it's fun to listen to, and you keep enough variation going.

Fluid arrangement, and well constructed piece. layers of sound are very imaginative and demonstrate a good ear. Guitar playing is very very good... who is it I will assume it is you although reading a bit about you & I was led to believe you were a bass player ( not that it would preclude you from playing guitar). Good piece, nice imagination. You possess a strong mind for composition I look forward to listening to your other songs.

loops??
Is this all loops?? or are there real insturments being played?
Id like to know..I really liked this. But It was hard to tell if the bass was real or keyboard. The lead guitar sounded real..I loved the horns.
any plans for singing this?

this is downright bad!
i love the feel. great groove! a good track has to have "groove" and you delivered in spades!

Nice groove
This tune has a really nice funky groove. The horns are good but I would suggest to make them a bit louder and so create a better contrast to the guitar solo. Also some kicks from the horns would make it more interesting. The feeling is right and that is what really matters.
