Lyrics:
"I can contemplate the Sea...."

Lead vocal - Ione Mueller (recorded acapella over skype before the music track had even been made)
Lead vocal - Sarah Gurr (Original used on a song by bibanova called 'By The Sea')
All other fantastic harmony vocals by Cat (Mystified)

THANK YOU ALL!

Ukuleles, guitars, bass synth, drum programming and production by Bryn Corbett

What a production! Expertly arranged, Bryn. I'm really impressed. The vocal layering is transparent and glimmering. I love the lead vocal -- has a bit of a Morcheeba sound. Fantastic guitar & ukulele. Thanks for letting me download this. Brilliant work!

An excellent collab using some clever interfaces. Vulnerable, ethereal, youthful, sad. Really nice.

tasty! &mdash 01/24/07 - 11:58:04 AM
From the opening deep bass-line, I just *KNEW* that this was going to be a good track, somehow.

Your choice of sounds and how you mixed them is tasteful and very well-balanced. There is a certain elegant restraint which is very engaging.

The atmosphere is muted, low-key, definitely "downtempo". The treatment of the ukes and guitars is light and airy, with vocals perfectly matching the style. It's amazing how you put this together via Skype.

My only wish is that this track were longer, which would have provided more of an opportunity to chill, kick back, space out. What you've presented here is very hypnotic and I didn't want it to end! (Of course, I *COULD* "loop" it -- LOL)

Very nice job on this.

Oh yeah &mdash 01/24/07 - 01:08:11 PM
And nobody's said a word about the drum programming! What's up with THAT? I love the groove and instrumentation there, I think it sets up the song so beautifully. I also enjoy it when pieces and parts (like your vocals, recorded at various times and places) come together and make a cohesive whole. I know that musta took some work. Great job with the L/R delay stuff, too. I'm with Cameron - I could sit and simmer with this for many minutes more than you allowed. But, then again, I just keep pressing the play button!
