From what I can hear of the lyrics, they seem a little whacky, but I can't hear much of them. It could just be my speakers, but I'd like to hear them brought out a little more. The guitar, bass, and piano are well placed, as are the drums. Love to hear those vocals shine!

Your singing sounds distant but not so much improvised
but be that they are this must have flowed out. the bow bow is a nice touch. the over all feel is very tight. I like the piano.good song i enjoyed it

.. tighter and still laid back, moody little rough cut demo.

Just the FX on the vox make them a bit distant and muddy to my ears.

Nice solid bass playing, odd flubb on guitar and vocals - I liked the supplementary piano chords and those changes.

Enjoyed it, but not as much as your "I'm here than I'm there". Neil Young?? Really? I'd settle for Steve Anderson ;o)

although i am not so familiarised with neil young, i love what i am hearing. moody and toned down yet bold and appealing.
sometimes it makes much more sense and effects when things are done spontaneously like you have done here.

especially enjoyed the soothing vocal, guitar and bass work!

Reminds me more of Pink Floyd than Neil Young. I think you actually said Neil Diamond in the first line didn't you.

You play a nice even groove on this one. It doesn't bother me too much that your vocals are lower in the mix. The music and melody have a nice sway so I'm not really listening to your words - just the notes.

I like the piano as well. What's missing for me is a guitar solo to break up the tune a bit. Maybe even a longer drawn out Gilmouresque bit.

Yeah, I can hear Neil Young and early Floyd too... is that you singing wah guitar?? This has a nice slow walking vibe, and fine musical backing. I agree with some of the other comments about the vocals; they're cool but mixed a bit muddy... but they do have a psychedelic vibe that way. Cool tune, musichead.

To me it sounds like you mastered the music together with the voice.Wich is fine..but it can sometimes cause a too full blend with the rest so what you have left is indeed more notes than actually words. Wich, if intended, is the bomb.
Like egobandit mentioned The over all feeling is tight. I like tight!

I love to hear an updated version of this one with the vocal sound improved....but ofcourse that is up to you!

I like the song bed here... you definitely need a good mic... but then that will force you to make up REAL lyrics for this song! You're getting the hang of adding more instruments, good basic stuff here, almost has a Beatles feel too it.

It is a great song, but i dont like the fx you have put on the vocals. It believe it would have sounded better if the were cleaner. It sounds like you have a very nice and pleeasant voice. The song sounds great however. The guitar sounds are very nice as well.

You know, I'm torn here, the lyrics are definitely hard to make out, but there's something kind of cool about how they are kind of difficult to understand and the voice is more like an instrument. It reminds me of Radiohead, a bit.

That said, this is a really, really good song and I love the vocal melody and I think it would be cool to hear a version with the vocals crystal clear.

I did make out the Neil Diamond/Neil Young line. VERY funny!

Lyrics: when you say "made up", do you mean you improvised as you went along?

It's great. But I don't like the synth sound behind the guitar. Just guitar would be much nicer, me thinks.

This is actaully a really good tune. It seems a bit buried under production issues that folks seem to already have listed: mic, pre amp . . . blah, blah, blah. But, the SONG is there -- to me that's what is most important.
Change the lyrics, tweak some stuff here and there ( as you mentioned) so we can here it the way YOU hear it in your head. That's the gift. Its already there, and I certainly recognize it as much as many others have as well.

I'd love to hear your vocals more - I'm struggling with the lyrics (no matter how wacky) and I'm wearing headphones. The tune is fabulous however and I like what I can hear of your voice and the arrangement is good too - I'm looking forward to the new version in due course. Thanks for sharing.
