You're so right! I've honestly had no intentions to this (Bach) which is one of my favourite songs! (guess it just influenced me unconsiously) I have thought about it sounding like something else, but got blind there for a while I think. What a delightful idea and execution... This little descending snippet is right out of Bach's Toccata & Fugue D Moll, however, the way you roll it over, and taste it from all angles... it really becomes something of its own, a really lovely study in folding it into a melancholy contemplative sweet piece of piano music. I really like this... very well composed and performed. I am not sure what you would change, the way this builds and slows, and smoothly shifts between different variations, is really fascinating. Faved & downloaded. We'll see what my Chopin-loving step-daughter thinks of this too, and I'll have to tell a few other Macjammers about this gem... thanks!
