Description:
This is an original from SecaMode. I asked him to let me make a new version and this is the result. There are still some aspects to review in the mix (there's a pad at the end annoying me...), because it was a quick mix just to post it here. Hope you enjoy it.
Y Muchas gracias SecaMode.

Lyrics:

cobran vidas desiguales
mientras los espectadores
toman parte del ritual.

Aquí ya no gobierna la razón,
la fantasía se hace realidad.
Y si algún día logramos despertar
del teatro cuaresmal, podremos ver...

Los grotescos personajes
cobran vidas desiguales
mientras los espectadores
toman parte del ritual.
El espectáculo sagrado
y la avaricia enmascarada.
Luces, cámara y acción
para esta sempiterna decepción.

Translation:

Sempiternal Deception

The house is empty once again,
the blinds are closed, no light comes in.
Three days inside, without a breath,
can't tell if it is night or day.

Quiet please, the show has begun,
the Sun has set, the Moon is out.
Dragonflies take wind, wings to the sea,
Mortals sing their hymn to the immortal.

Characters of the grotesque
take on careless lives
while the spectators
participate in the ritual.

Reason no longer governs here,
fantasía becomes reality.
And if we ever wake up
from this lenten theater we'll see...

Characters of the grotesque
take on careless lives
while the spectators
participate in the ritual.
The sacred spectacle
of masked greed.
Lights, camera action
for this sempiternal deception.

Amazing... &mdash 01/23/07 - 04:28:33 PM
As I said, Luis, I'm blown away by your voice on this song. That's what I envisioned, a deeper, darker voice. You've honored me with your interpretation of a song that is very near and dear to me. Thanks and an outstanding job on your arrangement of this! -Sergio.

p.s. I want you to sing on all my songs! :)

Great singing Luis. You really have a vocal style that you can call your own. Good lyrics as well. Mix is right there.

exellent &mdash 01/24/07 - 02:03:16 PM
so good all through... everything sounds so ready for radio... the vocal is passionate and nailed... I love the percussion on this... great drums... this also has just a hint of world music flavor...

Even though this is not at all lacking, I would like to hear what some of our guitar players here at Mj would do with this

It's time to arrange a real ending or do a fade... it's too good not to give it a proper ending

I love this collab, guys. Luis' great, impactful vocals with Sergio's fantastic synth & rhythm skills... wow are we lucky to get to hear this stuff!

Thanks for posting the translation. These are really deep lyrics. What are they all about?

there was not a translation, this was wonderfully crafted, but the lyrics do add a great deal of depth
