Description:
If you sit in a room full of people... trying to follow one specific voice or conversation can get overwhelming. That's the feel I was going for.

I didn't listen as closely to this one... &mdash 01/25/07 - 10:02:45 PM
...it seemed more about groove than anything, but I had it playing while I moved around the house, and it seemed a good piece to move to. It's actually a piece with a beat that I could have on while doing something else and it might actually HELP me to concentrate... Like it soaks up a little excess, stray or out-of-phase personal energy or something...

I really like the sound of it... Think I'll revisit it later, too....

Well, I keep coming back to it... &mdash 01/26/07 - 07:40:05 AM
And listening in different ways....

This is another production and mix that is wholly different over headphones than over speakers.... Over speakers, it fills my living space pretty handily.... Over headphones, it's a treat... Panning that doesn't feel gimmicky... Totally infectious groove...

Let's get that song up on the 'scoreboard'...

On a journey &mdash 01/26/07 - 10:20:16 AM
I've been perusing the "Downtempo" selections lately, so when I saw that you had uploaded three tunes at once, my next move was obvious. It's funny how you know you're going to like something from the get-go. Those smooth electric piano chords at the top let me know this was going to be a winner. If a fixed figure like that is going to be repeated throughout a song as a bed for other stuff, the chords had better be compelling, and these definitely are. I could listen to that loop fora mighty long time. Enjoyed the other layers as well (very funky drums) especially in view of the comment in your description ... I see what you mean! Thanks for this one, on to check out your others!

This is a test &mdash 01/26/07 - 03:56:13 PM
I'm curious about whether MacJams weeds out consecutive re-hears by the same person. I've been listening to this cut endlessly today, pressing the play button again and again like a mental patient. I hope I'm not artificially inflating your hit count, but it is one infectious groove you've got here.

Music as food... &mdash 01/30/07 - 07:42:48 AM
Tasty groove. Succulent harmonic content. Translucent production. An audio souffle fit for hungry ears.
