Such a sucker I am for a reverbed electric pianos playing minor chords with arty dissonances. I truly dig your stuff greatly, and I'm so glad to have found your mixes. The round bass works nicely here and the vaguely Indian synth-vox are dream-like. The porn samples (if indeed that's where they were lifted from) are quite artfully applied! I will be on the lookout for your stuff, so get to work! :)

Really good stuff. Reminds of of Bassic's Regenerator. And while I'm listening to more of your work I'm realising that you're not just talented, you're also darn good at what you're doing. I also like that your music could even do without the voice samples, some of this kind of music depends with its life on it, and is still doesn't keep my interest. I'll put on my email alert list now. Thanks for posting!

I'm with the rest of 'em....
New fan.
I like the progressive intensity with this piece.
All your stuff feels very organic and musical.

Excellent bass. Superb lead grungy synth.

God, your stuff is so professional. Please tell me you're making records for a label?

Is the little voice saying "Sniff"? :O)

This track is just too good. (What a stupid thing to say.) How long have you been making music?

Would you be kind enough to tell me a little more about Soulmonk? Who you (all) are, how you work on a track, etc.

Superb stuff.

the thing i adore about MacJams is the chat area. I happened to be in the room when Shimky was praising this piece. i immediately trekked on over and quickly understood why.

not much to add beyond what's been said, other than this is the kind of stuff i would love to tackle. my problem is that i tend to overwork this kind of thing, which is is something this piece is no where near in danger of. it's fantastic and the balance is right on!

great job! thank yoU!

Sexy ... &mdash 03/26/07 - 04:04:55 PM
.. and delicious backdrop .... (although I'm not sure I liked the little voice - sounded like a smirf) ... which detracted from the bassy resonance of the tune ... if I were putting vocal clips in ... I think I would have chosen something a little deeper and smoother ... (and it did sound like "sniff" to me too).
