Description:
Long Intro So play the entire song to get the feel of it- picks up. TheLlight in Darkness is part of a project in the works. Description: This is a love poem from the Light to the Darkness. It is not pop nor does it ascribe to anything else in particular. It is a musical/vocal pastiche of theater, cabaret, jazz, rock, industrial stylings. We don't rely much on stock-loops and the such but we do create our own palatte of sounds.

Lyrics:
The moment we met, never could be as one unless in shadows
I want to love you, too.
Is there something Dark in me?
It's not so dark if a light gets in.
If you see me you can't take me out.

They say "ne ma tego swego, csobe na dobra ne vishwu"...they say...(polish translation: there is nothing so bad that something good doesn' come from it--spelling anyone..I have forgotten?)

Powerful and interesting and very compelling. Too
dependent on a middle eastern scale, not enough unique
melodic content for the unique and wonderful textures
you weave. But a thrilling track. Again. Wow.

Tobin--Funny you should mention your lack of affection for the middle eastern scale in this--I have always been uncomfortable with that ending, it is really an experiment vocally, and I agree with the idea of dispensing with the middle eastern stylings at the end. However, the rest of the song is not so easy to pin down as middle eastern I hope--that was merely an afterthought. Think Ute Lemper. Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it!--M

This one is great. The vocals are cool and weird. Billy Joel
on heroin and hanging out with Tears for Fears or
something. Cool song. Some David Bowie in there too for
sure.

different parts of my brain. really like this one-got even
better when your vox kicked in. i would like to hear a
rebuttal by the darkness, she's always with us.. just
sometimes lurking in the shadows (playing hard to get?)

This is a cool song. I think the intro is too long, too shapeless. But once you kick in with the "I want to love too" part, it really is cool. Something dark in me... don't get me started! Really great timing. I'd cut the intro down to 8-12 bars of lead in and start the song, though.
