Description:
McDowell meets Beethoven:
I played McDowell as a teenager and loved it. I figure he wouldn't mind meeting Beethoven and so, this piece was born. And if it really does not sound like any of them, is because of the Spanish and California influence with a touch of Hungarian melody in the background. The picture was taken in Barcelona, a fitting (and beautiful) place for this composition. Sorry I deleted the first one but I forgot to correct a couple of problems with distortion. I think I fixed it.

Nice mix! &mdash 01/28/07 - 01:51:27 PM
Wonderful, sounds really like a mix of Mc Dowell and Beethoven...
Sometimes your play has a tune like a guitar, which meets the mood perfectly.
I love it! Thanks for sharing!

Modern day Mozart &mdash 01/29/07 - 08:13:58 PM
I can't remember exactly what I wrote about the previous version... losing my memory as I get older ... but basically, it's extraordinarily beautiful, and dramatic, and I can hear the Edward McDowell, but not so much the Beethoven... maybe Mozart or Rossini though? It would be really nice to hear this on a real piano. You're a bit like a modern-day Mozart; beautiful themes seem to flow out of you effortlessly. [ Reply to This ]
