Description:
The variety of musical influences mirrors in the music of NARISH: The majority of the programme consist of the most beautiful Irish and Austrian tunes, which have been put together cheekily but with feeling - plus an extra-portion of newly created elements. Lyrics have been translated freely, melodies are dissected and assembled in different ways, keys are changed – what comes out are new cheerful songs, weird yodellers and ballads that sound familiar, but still strange. You feel at home within the songs of NARISH, but at the same time you discover so many new aspects. This new music makes you laugh, cry, it grabs you and touches your heart. And in the end the listeners are surprised to find that different types of folk music aren’t that different at all… It’s great: NARISH do so well what they’re doing!

Lyrics:
If you walk through the valley
Call my name one more time
For I won’t hear your sweet voice
Never again

If I whisper and call
You can’t hear me at all
For now I shall know that
You want me to go

I don’t hear a whisper
I don’t hear a word
My boy he has left me
No sound can be heard.

A wonderful mix of ancient traditions brought forward into the present. Very, very pro! Nice recording and production (studio and not GB?)
A lovely voice with soothing, oh so appropriate instrumental backing. Hope you will be a true member of our communtiy here at Macjams rather than just a fly by promotion.

Wonderful 3/4 time melodies, simple but filled with longing. Gorgeous singing, and very well-crafted harmonies. And the instruments are played so nicely too... this is a beautiful treat to listen to. Danke!
