Description:
A little improvized essay to celebrate my buying (finally) a controller. Don't get me wrong, I am not a keyboard player... just trying out new hardware.
The tune done literally in two hours, from 7 to 9 Saturday morning, and revisited to add another layer of syn next day (half an hour more). Genre wise, I think of it as sort of a "diet jazz", fat free, so to say, light and fluffy... hope you like it.

The intro is catchy. I really like the bass lick that "percolates" up in this section. Nice sound from the instruments.
The groove between the bass and hand drums is positively infectious. Colorful chords and sounds here - nice variation from the theme. This whole piece is a terrific blend of sounds and groove hung on a great bass track. Looks like that controller is already earning its keep!
Very smooth and lively! (Why does that sound like a cigarette ad?)

I am so easily entertained :) New toys are always nice...

The riff of the bass is wonderful.
The melody of the keyboard is unique.

As a bassist, i really enjoyed the feel, lines, and phrasing of the bass; great job for a just an experiment!

...if I played another instrument beside sax, it would probably be bass - always loved the sound of it, too bad I never had a chance to learn it. So I am compensating - faking the bass with another instrument I don't play :)

Very nice "premiere" of your new keyboard!
It's amazing that you put together this catchy little tune together in such a short period of time. Excellent choice of sounds, combined economically -- "lite" is GOOD.
I look forward to your future offerings with this kind of thing, backing up your great sax playing! (hint, hint...)
iG.STUDiO
...that's the plan :)

with Chikoppi. A really unique and interesting piece. For me I loved the change in feel when the snare kicked in. Well done!

thank you!

nice groove with a solid bassline. Now just lay some horn on it and it'll be complete.

I would, but the key is horrible... wasn't designed for a sax :(

Oxygen sounds like a fun little keyboard. My 88-key digital piano becomes a little clunky sometimes, when all I would need is an Oxygen unit like yours.
Love the latin drums/bongos which come in at about half-way.
Nice way to add layers, as the track goes on. Adds interest.
OK, now I know you have a mod. controller! And you use it well.
Nice track, IG.
