What a great experiment &mdash 08/02/04 - 10:48:54 AM
Wo, what a great soundscape you've created! Epic! Is that
all you on vocals? Very cool tone poem track. Compelling
and well produced. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks a bunch!, we appreciate the feedback. Actually, the vocals were performed by my girlfriend Mimi and I (Jeremy)wrote the music. [ Reply to This ]

great sounds &mdash 08/02/04 - 04:03:58 PM
but i feel like it's severed in a few places, like there are
distinct portions that don't flow as well as they could.
i wish it were longer!
very strong, epic, yes, sounds in here. quite an amazing
feat. [ Reply to This ]
wonderfully flowing &mdash 08/02/04 - 05:22:58 PM
There are some great ideas on this track, and your use
and combination of sounds is rich and full!
The vocals add a very nice touch.
I really hope that you expand this piece much further. It
ended all-too soon. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks a ton! I never thought about extending it but ya never know.

Very nice indeed. &mdash 08/03/04 - 03:11:57 AM
Love the sound created in this. Very nicely done indeed
(nice vox by your g/f as well) [ Reply to This ]

Fantastic production values that you can just kinda melt
into. I love the drum sound and the tuned bells.
But I agree with Peng that it feels like several ideas that
don't really belong together. The ending doesn't work. [ Reply to This ]

Help me out here...at what specific point does it remove itself from the context of the overall theme? Someone else once told me the ending doesn't fit but they couldn't quite explain why. If I jumped outside myself for a moment, I might say, what happened to all the orchestration? Is that what you mean?

The mood changes completely. The orchestration AND the melody drops out.
It's that it's terrible, it just feels out of place.

Flower Duet-ish. Very nice timing, very nice. Actually, not
nice.... this is really great. A little bit of Bjork (some of the
clanky and layered accompaniments in the rhyth) is
definitely in there. I like the brevity as well.

Oh YEAH &mdash 08/05/04 - 12:38:55 AM
I forgot to make one minor criticism: the title is stupid!
:-o

The title...hmmm yeah, I have to ageee a bit...I'm horrible for track titles, A.D.D. or something. Nah...I just don't have much patience for selecting cool titles. [ Reply to This ]

Funny you should mention Bjork, because I'm a big fan of her and others like Massive Attack, Recoil. I'd say that although I'm mot really up on who's who these days, Bjork's underlying compositions have been refreshing. Thank you!

Severed &mdash 08/06/04 - 03:01:12 AM
Okay, so I listened to this a few times to try and find
the severed bits, heh! couldn't find 'em myself.
There's that symphonic to a more electronic rhythm,
but I don't find that out of place at all. would be very
at home in a Peter Gabriel track.
Although, I would also like to hear it expanded,
sounds as though it could get even more bombastic
and thick with instruments. I also have the tiny
desire for more reverb or echo. Something to get it
more into the world of a live performance, but really
cool despite my thoughts! [ Reply to This ]
Like it yes I do &mdash 08/19/04 - 12:13:13 AM
Great singing, liked the oboe at the beginning and those
wierd chimy things (to be technical). The tympani
reminded me of that Bjork track called "Human Behaviour"
(the one that had the giant teddy bear on a tiny planet in
the video...)
Great deep bass as well. Rivetting stuff. I actually didn't
mind the ending either, it definitely said, "this is finished
now", which is what endings are supposed to do. Odd,
yes, but I went with it.
Very cool. [ Reply to This ]
