Description:
The original song is a fanfare piece intended to be played by a concert band. We played it in my high school band actually, that's how I got to know the song! So basically it had a cool part and so I thought, "That would be fun to make into a electronica song!"

So I did.

This is pretty damn weird I must admit &mdash 01/28/07 - 11:49:25 PM
and I mean that as a compliment. I know you said concert band - but I'm trying to imagine this being played bya marching band - kinda like Tusk. Any way - cool idea and nice execution. I miss a little more depth to the mix - maybe with some other supportive voices to flesh out the parts. But overall - pretty cool.

cool! &mdash 01/29/07 - 09:42:36 PM
it's way cooler when you have actually heard the song. I like the variety throughout the song, it makes it more interesting. Good work!

LoL, wow. That made me laugh... but I really liked it. It's goofy and good natured, and I wish my school band would play something this cool.

Well this is funky &mdash 01/30/07 - 04:39:45 PM
Not as like in genre, but as like to say it's catchy, the fanfare was really well remixed and the beats touch me, I like it.

Hi &mdash 02/01/07 - 06:22:35 PM
I've just listened to ALL your songs. I thought I'd post something here, on the latest one, although this refers to your whole repertoire.

I love it that on all your tracks you seem to just "go with it". It seems to me you don't follow any rules - you just follow your fingers.

However, I find that at the end of the day my favourite track is Kin Kamlyn BY FAR. I've just listened to it a THIRD time :) to help me understand why. I think it's this:

Although, as I stated earlier, I love it that your imagination runs riot on your tracks, I think that, at the end of the day, you can't beat structure. And it's Kin Kamlyn that seems to have the strongest structure.

Or maybe it's just that killer sound that comes in on, I think the 9th bar, that you keep using bring back in through-out the track? I LOVE THAT SOUND!! Can I please steal it? I'd love to you use it .

I've FAVED you and will be watching closely. Kudos! :)

Cool idea! I wish I was familiar with the band version so that I could make a comparison to what you did. This sounds cool, though! I think bud's comment about adding some supporting synth sounds might be worth investigating.
