Lyrics
A song about total commitment, the essence of a successful relationship. When a partnership is developing there comes a time for the big step up from see-how-it-goes to all-or-nothing, and we take a big risk in making ourselves vulnerable to emotional damage.
Kyle sings the lead, Gerry does the block harmonies and neither of them could resist pretending to be Steely Dan for the first four bars before the reggae groove takes over.
No animals were harmed during the making of this song...except for a couple of rainbow trout, served up with boiled potatoes and chives, which were consumed during a short break prior to mixing. Oh yeah, and some chicken soup.
THE CROSSROADS OF OUR LIVES

Cmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I worry about you honey.
Fmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I haven’t heard from you for quite a while
Cmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Were you troubled by the things I said to you?
. . . . . . . . Fmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I was a little bit too serious I know
Cmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Has your love come knocking at the door?
Fmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
It touches me so I would like to know
Cmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
If you’ll come around to my way of thinking
Fmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
‘Cause I’ve noticed baby, I feel it so.

So if I’ve overplayed my hand or set my sights too high
. . . . . . . Amin . . . . . . . . Amin7/G . . . . . . Amin6/F# . . . . . D
I want us both to try and understand there is a reason why
C/G . . . . . . . . . . . . . . F/G . . . . . . . . . . . . C/G . . . . . . . . Dmin7/G
Now we’ve reached decision time at the crossroads of our lives

As the traveller needs to read the signs to know where he arrives,

Let’s move on, let's move on
Cmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Fmaj7 . . . . . . . . .
Let’s move on, let’s move on, don’t wanna wait too long.
Cmaj7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Fmaj7 . . . . . . . . .
Let’s move on, let’s move on, don’t make me wait too long
I lie awake thinking every evening
I haven’t found no-one else like you
This type of love, it always comes on back to you,
Someone to spend my whole life long with.
So if I’ve overplayed my hand or set my sights too high
I want us both to try and understand there is a reason why
Now we’ve reached decision time at the crossroads of our lives
As the traveller needs to read the signs to know where he arrives
Let’s move on, let’s move on.
Let’s move on, let’s move on, don’t wanna wait too long.
Let’s move on, let’s move on, don’t make me wait too long.
