Description
The title is in answer to my question being answered in a film I saw today.

Think Deckard, Directors Cut version.

Other than that, the mix may do for some sort of relaxing background music, except maybe for the climax, near the end, where the piece gets a tad louder.

It's still early days with me with this sort of music so please be patient.

Soft In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida
A kind of low-key version of it without the great drama. I enjoyed it and think it could work as a filmscape background.

Yeah....I know what you mean....
The mix needs something else but as there's a chord structure within this ambient texture I've got to either remember or work out what I played. THEN I can add some lead stuff.

It was all a bit rushed. I watched Blade Runner - Directors Cut and there was a scene where Deckard was playing the middle A key on his piano and then a shot of a unicorn came on. I hadn't seen the unicorn in the original version. It stirred my brain cell into something approaching life and I got out my extra special 'A finger' and switched my trusty Hurdy Gurdy on and the rest never made history.

Here's hoping that mix 435 of the unicorn series will be something special.

Thanks for stopping by.

Paul.

Gadda da Vida.........
I've just looked up the reference and I can't say I'd heard the track but the group was familiar, Iron Butterly.

I listened, on Wikipedia, to the opening bars riff and I do know the sequence.

Of course...
Ridley Scott's version. How did I fail to read the clues. Wouldn't make much of a detective or an android.
Funny I saw that on video several years ago and felt it wasn’t as good as the original. Too long and self indulgent for my taste. He does have this thing about unicorns. Did another film - Legend, which had them as well.

On reflection my allusion to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida was a bit obscure. Guess your beat kind of brought it to mind. But it is a wonderful piece of music well worth seeking out. Look forward to hearing of your series.
Best,
-Bowman

I enjoy creating music using computers and 'synthesized' as opposed to 'real' instruments. I have no problem using samples/loops in my music. Everyone does this every time they work with a track. I don't fit in any box and thoroughly enjoy working ou... [see more]
