Lyrics
So You saw a black rider
Queue up at the gas station
The great whore of Babylon
Smoking near dirty water
Martyres full of prozac
Barefeet on the airport floor
Pass a metal detector
While angels check their backpack

Why do you bother
at all ?
Brother
It’s the new normal

You saw the ozone sucked up
Just like a book folding up
And CO2 in the air
Dark like a sackcloth of hair
A star called wormwood
Crimewatch in the neighborhood
Drought and flood and thought control
Where’s there’s no thought left at all

Why do you bother
at all ?
Brother
It’s the new normal

(There’s a reason
To be happy :
Beacuse you could be
Your own son)

The merchants in fine linen
They don’t seem to mourn and weep
They still sell iron & sheep
Chariots and the soul of men
What is tasting like honey
Then in your belly bitter
It’s no divine book Johnny
it’is more like a cheeseburger

Why do you bother
at all ?
Brother
It’s the new normal

Presence...
Good bass presence and everything, however the lyrics are hard to understand a little when the guitars come in. Maybe louder, but I'm not sure. I really like this rockin' song though, sounds good.

wicked
kinda crazy but cool. could bring the guitars down, they tend to drown out to much. don't worry, they won't get lost. fun!

loud guitars
I had first mixed this with the vocals a bit upfront and I thought it reduced the music to some background noise. As I hear it, they're still loud and clear, but it's possible that since I know the lyrics and am used to my own voice, I always have the feeling I hear them. I also wonder if it's not more a problem with my accent than a problem with the mix. Thanks a lot for taking the time to listen and comment.

This is quirky . . .
and delicious. I agree with jsacker and VicHolmann about the lyrics and the guitars, though.

with all
due respect, i'm gonna disagree with everyone, and say the guitar levels are great. the organ is what gets a little loud for me (only cuz it drowns out the gtrs and drums). i love this.
