Lyrics:
Do you remember it was early spring,
Outside the window a bird was singing
you were in the garden with the children playing

We woke up early with the rising sun
We had our problems we had our fun
Driving through the country we were always laughing

And the days still seem long
And whatever comes your way its meant to be

Do you remember the evening breeze,
Blowing gently through the pine trees
You were painting pictures of a clear horizon

We played music in the firelight
The comets fell that starry night
Everything seemed simple pure and bright

well the days still seem long
And whatever may go wrong its meant to be

Well I remember how I broke your heart
We'd always known right from the start
that someday we'd be sure to say goodbye
Wherever you may choose to go
I wish you well and I hope you know
In the time we had together we loved a lifetime

Beautiful melody. I love the instrumentation and the tone of your voice. This is a very cool song. The production and sound is very clear.
Well done. Bravo...

blackysmith - I posted it on a forum once and somebody pm'd me to say it had left them feeling melancholy and asked me if I had any advice about what they should do.I suggested that they just listen to something else.Is that good P.R? Glad you enjoyed it - it was quite cathartic to write

It amazes me &mdash 02/02/07 - 11:11:52 PM
that so much of your terrific music seems to be overlooked by the MJ masses.

Really nice song. The orchestral sounds are not overdone all- very tasteful... all the same I would love to hear how this is with just guitar and vocal.

I'm.. &mdash 02/05/07 - 08:57:57 PM
used to being overlooked - perhaps I should stand on a box.I think its cos I'm too eratic with style changes.I'd love to mix it without the violins except I lost all the parts to it - just have the mp3.Also I was forced to sell my guitar so I wouldnt be able to re-record it.I'll keep entering the lottery from time to time..! Thanks aclarke

I really like &mdash 02/07/07 - 08:33:50 AM
how to tell a story in your songs. It is about an ending, yet it has acceptance- this was meant to be, but it was fun while it lasted. I wish I could be as philosophical about these things. :-) Really nice vocals, instrumentation, and arrangement, too. :-)

Philosophic &mdash 02/19/07 - 05:30:26 PM
Well - I seem to have split up with women quite a few times now - its the pianos fault - it wont let me give anyone else the attention they are seeking.I also try to be philosophical but it sometimes takes a while and even then you end up having dreams about em when you thought you had long come to terms with it.Thanks Roxy
