Description
Dario Castello's eleventh sonata (there are twelve) from his first book of Sonate Concertate for various instruments. This one is arranged for two alto recorders, bass dulcian, and harpsichord.
Dario Castello was born about 1590 and is believed to have died in the plague of 1630. Only 26 of his compositions come down to us today. While very canzonic with their frequent time and tempo changes, recitatives, and in some cases renaissance style, there is a forward approach with the ingenious use of some very early and most likely "new" early baroque motifs.
instruments used: mollenhauer morgan denner alto recorder (a=440hz), garageband, and an m-audio midi keyboard.

Your recordings are always very clear and well-balanced. Your performance on the recorders here is great as always, but the recorders themselves don't sound quite as crisp as some earlier pieces of yours (but this is super-minor, the only thing I could critique...) Pretty nice sounding bass dulcian too.
