Description:
Ok I admit it, I'm hopeless sayng "I love you" so here it is my first sketch of a love song to my dear wife Carole written in 3 minutes, but she is worth so much more time than that!

And ok she will probably kick my head in when she sees the pic - but hey I still love her!

I was hoping you wouldn't mention the 3 minutes. Now I'm feeling guilty thinking iI should have made it 3 1/2 minutes!!!

Steve,
Carole's a lucky woman when such beautiful music is written to show your love. Your tune is just about as gentle as can be and the lyrics straight from your heart. If you develop the song a bit, a lush orchestra of Montevanti-type strings should be coming in...right about now as the chorus soars. I can hear it all now. What a wonderful thing, sharing your heart with the world. Thank you.
Peace.
Paul
P.S. CD is on its way tomorrow.

This is a beautiful &mdash 02/04/07 - 11:11:31 AM
tribute and a good song to boot. How'd you record this? I'm not a production snob so don't feel you have to defend anything. I really like the immediacy you captured here.

Hi Bud! &mdash 02/04/07 - 05:12:11 PM
Hi Bud! Thanks for yor comments, basically I just stook the jack lead from my guitar into the back of my imac. The lead is from Apple and cost abouy £14 and I sang into the built in mic on the imac. I know the sound isn't too good technically but I just treated it as a rough sketch really. I will be looking into buying a proper mic at some stage, whether I will be capable of using it though is another matter, with balances etc.
I did get a comment from Carole that she thought I could have sang it a lot better, I did explain to her that that was the effect I wanted, ie not too polished etc. So your comments are very encouraging - thanks again Bud

Steve, obviously this came straight from the heart. You and Carole are very blessed to have found true love. Few of us do...

God bless you both,

Rick
