Lyrics:
The night has come
In creeps the dark
The moon is high in my heart
Oh Where are you
Your'e far away
And like the stars
I'm here to stay

And I never saw a man
Who could tell me why
We choose to live
Or choose to die

So keep walking along the dusty road
For these are hazy days
And there is nothing on which we can depend
But I know we'll always
Be together in the end

The dawn has come
With rays of sun
The skylarks song
Has just begun

Oh where are you?
Your'e by my side
And like the stars
You'll awake tonight

And I never saw a man
Who could tell me why
We choose to live
Or choose to die

So you keep walking along the dusty road
For these are hazy days
And there is nothing on which we can depend
But I know we'll always be together.....in the end

reminds me of a Moody Blues song.. &mdash 02/03/07 - 03:31:51 PM
but decidedly more acoustic..

Perfect song. Perfect performance. Wouldn't change a thing.

Love the deep sonorus tone in the vox, all aspects of this piece intrigues me I love it. Nuances of CSN&Y and some other things that escape me. But this has it's own quirks that make it special. Great !!!!

Excellent guitar playing and vocals. The melody and chord structure are very strong. The musical imagry coveyed through the song structure depicts the lyrical subject matter very well. Very expressive and tasteful performance.

Very nice vocals! &mdash 02/12/07 - 05:06:40 PM
I love the way the two vocal parts weave together. I wish the guitar was a little clearer--the recording, that is. The playing sounds great, but it sounds so distant and kind of tin-can-like. Was that intentional?

Nice lyrics, too!

Jim

Nice folk tune &mdash 02/13/07 - 09:05:59 PM
I like your voice. It definitely fits the folk genre. I also like the way you double your vocals. Wish I could do that with mine.

God bless,

Rick

It's your voice &mdash 03/14/07 - 03:49:41 PM
that sounds like one of the guys from The Moody Blues.

Very good song and arrangement. I'm glad Cori posted this song on his thread. Very well done.

I think people are hearing some Justin Hayward... &mdash 06/06/07 - 09:00:51 PM
...one of the principal songwriters in The Moody Blues, especially at the bridge...

I'm another one who loves the doubled vocal tones... it's nice and smooth, really sonorous without being slick...

I'll also sign on with those who would vote for a fuller recorded guitar tone... In my headphones, anyway, the acoustic guitar sounds a little distant, and a bit thin, and I bet it doesn't sound that way when you're playing live...

Ed
