Keywords:
Arabic (12)Middle Eastern (21)Dance (502)Oud (6)precussions (1)
Description:
This is an instrumental by Red Sahara. The song has a mixture of Arabic and Dance styles to it. In this song I mainly used the World Jam Pack software Instruments. The song begins with the Oud solo and then becomes more rhythmic as it introduces mixture of dance beat and Arabic percussions. I also used Chinese Violin and Accordions in few sections. Enjoy

A great mix..... &mdash 02/05/07 - 01:19:03 PM
This is a great mix, in the tradition of Arabic music, with the Arabic atmosphere very well captured. (The accordian always adds that touch of Arab-ness in my opinion). I worked in the Gulf and Middle East regions for a number of years and used to listen to any local music I could, and this would fit in with a lot of that sort of music.

My one thought was that maybe a flute would have finished the piece off but that's just my personal view and no way detracts from your excellent mix.

I hope you can produce more pieces in the same or similar genre.

R.

You are right; a Flute or Ney sound could totally complement the mix. I just did not have a nice Ney software instrument and unfortunately do not know how to play the actual instrument. May be someone within this community can help with the flute part.

Thanks

Very nice &mdash 02/13/07 - 07:47:16 PM
Don't think there is any room for vocals on this piece, is there? It sits very comfortably as an instrumental, me thinks. Well done!

Vocals &mdash 02/14/07 - 02:28:21 PM
I can always make modification to add vocals on this. I actually think it would make it more interesting to add background vocals.Let me know if you have any Lyrics or other ideas to improve it. Thanks

they're clapping! Energetic piece, love the beginning and how it builds in instrumentation and drive. Nice clean mix with a lot of punch in the oud. Thanks for sharing!

Best,
