Description:
It's 1977 all over - Inspired by a raw-awkening (sic) by Bob (Five Extra Arms) and Carson (the Great).
This was my very first effort using GB. Never thought about sharing it until Five Extra Arms got me thinking about the quality of recording and what if it's just a damn good song that needs a bit of sorting.....just get it out there. (Even with the shady lyric).
Thanks for reminding me of what it's all about....!
Lyrics:
God Has Favoured...
In My Ears...Yes!
So, when ya gonna come down? 'Cos God has favoured....
(inc. coughing fit)

iMac built in mic.

Coughing Fit! &mdash 02/07/07 - 05:18:10 PM
Glad you blew the dust off your first GB work and let us hear it. Lots of wonderful qualities to this song. The vocals echoing like they do reminded me a bit of the old Butthole Surfers. (Can you say that here at Mac Jams?) I really get a thrill out of it going as long as it does. Awkward and unintelligible. Perfect for my tastes. The drum beat jumps out of the chute and the grindy guitar works well with it through the whole song. I like the beepity lead guitar sound. Devo-like in it's wierdness.

Frickin' great &mdash 02/27/07 - 03:57:30 PM
This reminds me of one of my favourite bands ever, The Sisters of Mercy. Love the guitar and drums on this, and a really good mix to boot.
Bob (5EE) put me onto this, and I'm really glad he did. Love it.

definitley gothic &mdash 04/27/07 - 10:31:56 AM
rather than punk, which I associate with sex pistols, damned etc. But I love gothic, so I don't really object!! Love the delayed guitars and background noises whooshing in and out. [ Reply to This ]
Yeah - could be gothic &mdash 05/02/07 - 10:37:49 AM
I don't want to pidgeon-hole, but "punk" was chosen as it's how I saw it at the time. Still it doesn't matter - I'm glad you liked it and commented.
Cheers,

Cool! You can get your dulcet tones out there - so what if the recording isn't top notch? You're still able to demo your trax and let the planet share your thoughts...
How mad is it that we can do this? I thank Andy for the inspitation, help and encouragement too. Great to be involved in the musical revolution, yeah?!
Take care, dude.
