cute! i hope you don't mind me saying so, but i think this is totally cute! great playing--had me bobbing my head the whole time. even with the current synth orchestration & percussion and no vox, this is AT LEAST as good quality of any They Might Be Giants instrumental or b-side. beefed up a bit, i could imagine it being a rock tune somwhere along the lines of a smashmouth song or something. Nice piano start.... love the marimba additions which gives vibrant energy to it. The drums are cool and great fills in the transitions. This needs some bass to fatten it up and a little instrumental variation and build-up, maybe some strings, etc. to make it less monotonous after the first half. It's a very lively tune that has potential to become a great pop or rock song, especially if you overlay some hot vocals on it. Someone must have the chops to consummate this song, dude! Really enjoyed this song much!
