Description:
Well this is my first tune on here. I'll probably listen back tomorrow and think "what!!" but for now you can listen to the beautiful lyrics and vocals of Linda Courtien with a wee bit of guitar and stuff in the background. All comments gratefully received.
I heard the original track at work today and it stuck in my head so I had to do something about it. The drums and synth are from Garageband which I am just getting to grips with, the vox are Lindas origionals chopped up and tweeked in Audacity and the guitar is me.

Hardware:
iBook G3 700Mhz
Parker Fly
Boss GT-8
Alesis Photon x25

Software:
GarageBand
Audacity

i love it. &mdash 02/12/07 - 09:45:00 PM
very nice work Slick!!! I love the guitar work here. You cut up my vocals really well too. It's really hard to make my pre-recorded vocals in synch. Especially since I had no metronome when recording it. Congrats on your first upload. I'm flattered you added to my vocals :-)

After listening to your vox it was pretty easy to come up with the rest.
Thanks again for recording them in the first place.

You should develop this further it is quite hauntingly beautiful - don't leave it so embryonic
but that's me IMHO

Excellent collaboration. onesweetworld's vocals are evocative and SLICK plays some tasteful accompaniment. Thanks for putting this together.

Nice collab - great job at blending &mdash 02/14/07 - 09:46:38 PM
the different elements - not an easy thing to do when starting with vocals. Onesweetworld sounds great and your playing makes a really good setting. Welcome to MJ!

Impressive &mdash 02/23/07 - 08:28:36 PM
Great job on your first post. Nice dark guitar sound that fits amazingly well with those unmatchable vocals. You kept it rather simple and clean and that made it so nice. A successful collaboration in my opinion.

I look forward to hearing more of your guitar.

It's on my iPod now.
