Description:
This is my hastily completed remix of Moorlandt's uber-excellent Somehow. The original is an elegant piece of song writing, so I tried to keep the bones as intact as possible while dragging the piece far afield. I also tried to use as little processing as possible on Moorlandt's outstanding vocals. The vocals are the only part of the original song that remain - and I sped those up 10-15% to match the new tempo.

Wow
What a total change of pace... well, literally, but also this just sounds like a new song. Interesting music... sounding kind of like hitting pipes underwater; a unique timbre and quirkiness that I like. And it all fits with Walter's vox.

uber creative
Gosh, I could just copy and paste the same comment I gave on Datafunk's remix (http://www.macjams.com/song/28817). Exactly the same uber creative approach, which turns the original song into a completely different experience. Like David comments here above: a completely new song. Outstanding on all levels. I particulary like the way you succeded to also blend some melodic parts of the original instrumentation into this. I'm a lucky guy to be here.

Check out Moorlandt's original song "Somehow." I took his vocals and melody lines and set them in an arrangement with new instruments. Everything was done in Logic Express. The parts I added are either original synths or modified samples - no loops, if that's what you are asking?

Creativity Unbounded
Those steely sounds really create a nice mood. Changes the tune, makes it new.
Ended a bit abruptly for me, but I suppose that is consistant with the coldness of those anvil type sounds.

It helps give us all another way to get in touch with the feelings expressed in the story of that song; that sometimes we just settle for what is comfortable while we are getting through our lives.

I liked it.
