This song is just a quickie demo. I plan to re-record a final version later. But this was just an attempt to get this down quickly. The song talks about going to Grandma Chicken's House. I'll explain. When I first got divorced 2yrs ago, my son was only 2ys old at the time. For a period of about 3 months back in early 2005, my mom would come over to my house with KFC whenever my son was staying at my house. My 2yr old son would answer the door and say "Grandma!" "Chicken!". Pretty soon she became "Grandma Chicken" and now my son is 4yrs old and he still calls her Grandma Chicken. Even my 2yr old niece now calls my mom her Grandma Chicken. Everyone in my family now calls my mom Grandma Chicken. So it seems to have stuck.But this song orginated just from me singing to my son as we would drive in the car to my parents house on weekends. And this is the demo version. |
