That's a great beat and the wandering, wammy-fueled guitar is very stylish! It sort of sounds like the entire track is being run through some sort of filter. I can't quite finger it - it sounds like a low pass together with notch carved out of the middle somewhere? The music is crankin', but it kind of seems like I'm listening to it through a wall.

2. good ear! the bass is sent through a static flanger - that would certainly cause that notch you're hearing... i guess that effect slops over into the perception of the rest of it?
