Description:
This is remix of Walter's gorgeous song 'Somehow'. I didn't want to mess with it too much as the original is so well done. I've replaced the electric piano with pizzicato strings and added a bass part and a drum track (Asian kit). I've also replaced the accordian parts with French horns and added another two cello tracks.
Hope you like it!

Lyrics:
I watch your mouth while you are talking
Girlish talk, I’m just a boy
It’s warm and cosy in your country house
You made my favourite dish again
And I can talk about my day
While you pretend that you are listening to what I say

I turn the television on
And watch it from your bed
You tell me “turn the volume down”
But girl, I hear so bad
What I would like is plainly clear
Just sit beside me now
And watch this comedy with me
We’ll have a laugh somehow

I watch your back while you are writing
To a man you met in space
His soul’s aligned to yours, that’s what you always say
You turn your face to me and shout
That it is time for me to go
But I’m still waiting for my favourite: the late night show

I turn the television off
Respect your privacy
Don’t have the competence to dive
In your complexity
I’m just a boy who lives next door
Who’s in your house right now
Your anger turns into a smile
And we make love somehow

Maybe I’m not your number one
But I still own your key
Dreamed about having other girls
But they turn their back on me
Don’t ask me why I’m coming back
Although our love has died
There is no heating in my flat
Please let me stay tonight

Still there is love somehow

Ross...
...this is a VERY beautiful version! It just shows you have put tons of love in it. Tastefully chosen instruments, and the drums and bass really add to it. Thanks so much for the passion.

You might want to check out 2 other versions as well. I had put them in a forum thread a couple of days ago. I'll add your version now as well of course... http://www.macjams.com/forum/viewtopic.php?forum=6;showtopic=76109

great song, greater remix
Really like what you did here Ross. I could nit pick a little on wishing the instruments had a teeny bit more ambience/room reverb... but overall, the re-instrumentation really adds more sentimentality to Walter's delivery (if that's even possible to add more to...) Very cool version!

REally nice
Well, I have nothing to pick. I guess drak is talking about more separation, that would work, too. But this is nice.

Moody, cool, detached...
Very nicely done; moody, cool, detached. Ending surprised me a bit; seemed a bit abrupt, but not really a problem.

I really loved the original...
...and think this is an excellent remix. Nice choice of instrumentation.

Lyrics are so on it. I can't call them "great" because I've been in the situation being described...and there really wasn't much that was "great" about it. At all. These lyrics just describe the situation so perfectly...

Fine art...
