Description:
From the album Twisted Stick available from Apple iTunes:-
http//ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuite.net/...
Lyrics:
Hazy sky - Has it caught you dreaming?
Lazy wine - Has it got you reeling?
The creatures that sctratch in the corn next to you
Are aware these horizons are fading from Gold into Blue
Evening star - has it got you thinking
Distant friends would join you in the drinking
Silently praising the clouds that pass over
- the people below you and stars straight ahead as you fly
Crazy world,crazy world
But I'm alright - I'll sleep tonight
And no-one knows its a home from home,
Sleeping under Hazy Skies
Old country - have you seen the soldier
Raise his sword though the battle's over
Trinkets and crowns lie with coins in the sand
while a ghost on the hill is returning to claim back his land
Starry skies - spinning in a circle
Moonstruck eyes - have you seen the signs?
Bright constellations in galaxies older than we can remember
And lights burning faster than time
Crazy world,crazy world
But I'm alright - I'll sleep tonight
And no-one knows,it's home from home -
Sleeping under hazy skies
Sleeping under hazy skies
Sleeping under hazy skies
Hazy sky - Has it caught you dreaming?
Lazy wine - Has it got you reeling?
The creatures that sctratch in the corn next to you
Are aware these horizons are fading from Gold into Blue
Crazy World.....
But I'm alright - I'll sleep tonight
And no-one knows,it's home from home -
Sleeping under hazy skies
Sleeping under hazy skies
Sleeping under Hazy Skies

I love this jazz waltz...... &mdash 02/12/07 - 03:40:04 PM
It has great feeling and rhythm, the lyrics are great and the voice is perfect.
The only thing was that I could hear Jethro Tull doing this song with a bit more 'stab' and, of course, the flute, and maybe a little bit faster.
Brilliant song. Both ways, I think, would work well. Your arrangement has been proven. Where's Anderson when you need him??

The Tull &mdash 02/12/07 - 04:22:11 PM
I couldn't even begin to compare myself with the man - at least not without mastering a full beard,a swirl of the wrist and a cunning pirate grin into the bargain.Salamader blows my Brummy socks off to this day.I used to busk mother goose up in Inverness when I was younger but have nothing like the flare for fleeting riffs that he comes up with.Netherless I applaud the comparison and fellow hail! - well met!

Hazy song &mdash 02/12/07 - 06:26:53 PM
Beautiful groove, such elegant swinging voice ! The lyrics wonderfuly sum up what you meant by " a sense of magic and a slight sense of what the hell is going to happen next". Great sense of lightness without being shallow. The mix brings something a bit melancholic, spacey but still warm. Joining your other titles in my iPod.
One of the greatest song I've heard around. Definitively ! [ Reply to This ]
Thank you &mdash 02/19/07 - 04:18:51 PM
..Youra - spacey and warm is good - I was often spaced but not often so warm (:

rainy day music &mdash 02/13/07 - 12:49:50 AM
So soft and warm, you just about want to crawl under that hedgerow and sleep "rough" there as well. Sounds completely analogue, all tape, warm and fuzzy. Dwndl'd and fav'd. Nice work. [ Reply to This ]
Actually.. &mdash 02/19/07 - 04:22:30 PM
I found that the traffic islands outside of towns were the best places to stay cos you could have a fire and cook dinner without anyone noticing.Glad u enjoy!

Lovely &mdash 02/13/07 - 01:04:19 PM
Very nice retro style and chilled out groove ... makes me want to go and lie under a hedge (maybe when the rain eases off a bit). It sounds like you've had some interesting adventures, and all credit to you if they inspire you to do stuff like this! [ Reply to This ]
Thanks Rebsie &mdash 02/19/07 - 04:34:08 PM
- I have to go and listen to your songs after this - do you know what - I've travelled all round this country and yet my sense of geography is so bad that I'm still not sure where cheltenham is.You'd be welcome to lie under my hedgerow anytime, that is - if I had one..I kind of just see the lake district as a rather overgrown garden. Those ponds could do with some weeding too!

wow - &mdash 02/15/07 - 09:04:04 AM
This reminds me (just a bit) of one of my favorite artists, David Gilmour. I love it - it's really well written, the guitar sounds great, and I've only found a small handful of tunes on this site so far where the vocals are just as excellent as the music... it all blends together perfectly.
In my favorites - and downloading immediately. Thanks for sharing this! [ Reply to This ]
Thanks ocean &mdash 02/19/07 - 04:44:46 PM
- its interesting you should mention dave gilmour (i presume you are talking pink floyd) - as Kate Bush was always one of my favourites and theyve worked together alot infact I think her career was helped along quite alot by him.'one of my turns' is one of my favourite songs by floyd. Thanks for noticing!!

One of the most interesting tracks on the site. The mood, well moods because there are many, are congenial to me. [ Reply to This ]
