Lyrics:
New Beginnings

I want to be part, part of the solution

I can't seem to remember our foundation
Oh, you talk about, talk about my superstitions
I don't need to answer, any of your questions, no, no
To shed the light, on what I deserve

I want to be part, part of the solution
Part of the solution
New beginnings
Part of the revolution
I want to be part of the solution

My world, is guided by old fascinations,
Life just seems, pointless superstitions
The dawn is another distraction
While you point out my infraction

I want to be part, part of the solution
Part of the solution
New beginnings
I want to see the resolution
New Beginnings
I want to be part of the solution
Oh, yeah

I want to be a revolution
I want to see the resolution
New beginnings
I want to be part of the solution
New beginnings

Another overlooked track &mdash 04/09/07 - 07:05:01 AM
As I'm slowly working my way back through your work .... Production sounds good on the speakers I'm listening to this through, and the vocals are top notch - really lovely voice. For me, the strongest thing about this track is the verse - really nice melodies and I love the guitar-work and piano - but my blinkered/structured mind wants a more obvious, kick-in chorus than the one here. This is potentially a really commercial track, but it needs a bit more to make it more ... catchy (god, I sound like Simon Cowell!).

This song just doesn't really work for me. It seems like it is really over sung. Like a karoke competition gone bad. If you think you sound like Simon Cowell, you should hear me. I do think Chris did a nice job remixing this, cause the first version was pretty painful. It's much better now. I just am not a fan of the over-power singing. I prefer a bit of understatement.
