Description:
This is a first for me. An orchestrated piece written with that intent. I didn't want any vocals on this, and had to carry the piece completely on the composition. Unfortunately, I don't have a mic in my residence right now, so this is all I can come up with at the moment.

less is more &mdash 02/13/07 - 04:47:57 PM
The repeating figure you have drawn at the start is proof of that less is more. When you bring the strings in, you show me a landscape resting just at the break of dawn. I can almost see the sun come over the horizon.
Showing me the repeating piano theme again tells me the new day is here and it has brought all its usual routines along. Which brings a calm to my day. No big change to disturb my peace... not this day.
Beautiful work my talented young friend:) You will reach far with your music! [ Reply to This ]

Inspiring! &mdash 02/14/07 - 03:36:12 PM
I found this piece extremely moving and evocative! You're an amazing talent! It's rare to come across music with so much genuine creative energy and mature sense of drama and composition. At your age too! Reminds me very much of Thomas Newmans style (especially Road to Perdition). You already have that extra touch which very few composers seem to have, even if there might be a few things you could improve on the sound level (the piano sounds a little bit muddy and I'd go easy on the sustain pedal). But these are details! I'm sincerely impressed by the use of strings, western flute and harp, and the overall composition. [ Reply to This ]

...before it even finished playing--I like it that much.:) Truly lovely and emotionally satisfying. When I saw Parichayaka is a fan of this I knew it had to be something special--he's a favorite of mine on MJ and really knows his stuff. I'll definitely have to look into your other tracks. Thanks for sharing this.:) [ Reply to This ]
