Description:
As an introduction - MasonAtom is the guitarist/bassist for Tiny_Man_Inside.
This was a spur of the moment recording - mostly slide guitar on an acoustic. Much different than the TMI stuff, obviously.
The performance is completely improvised from start to finish. It is sloppy and contains several timing errors, but I like the feel quite a lot. I'm interested in mayb turning this into a song if anyone out there is willing to put down vocals... would need to add drums in places too....

Great intro and nice sound. Good early mourning starter. Very smooth slide groove.

honestly, when I played it back I was pretty much amazed at the sound. I ran the mic through a JoeMeek channel strip - my first time using outboard compression and EQ while recording... and the sound just jumped out. The room sound is pretty good too, although I did tweak it just a tad with Amplitube 2. Can't wait to work on this more.

Sounds great on the slide guitar work, throwing in some power chords would make it kick a little more, maybe a nice breakdown with a bridge! [ Reply to This ]

yeah, this is really just a draft right now. As I said, it was an improv recording, so there is not much structure now, although I am planning on developing it more. I have a few ideas for added changes, but I don't want to get too complicated - might take away from the feel.

sweet... and more amazing to know this was an improv. The EQ on this is pretty good, but probably could use a little tweaking... I don't know what exactly is bothering me, but there seem to be a couple of warm reverb peaks that give a kind of midrange and tinny boominess, I think... not sure. But otherwise, this is a very cool slinky piece of slide blues, well played!

yeah, I know what you mean about the guitar tone. It is very close to what I want, but still needs a little bit of EQ'ing in places.
Again, I posted this more as a reference point for something that could turn into a complete song w/ vocals, rather than a finished project.
