Description:
version 2
Lyrics:
father puts his heart in sister's tomb
brother prints his narrow minded foot
mother's favourite laughters in the womb
twister hits everyone in the room
the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
smothered in a stinging wind drifting apart
devil's pungent paws whipping us around
ragingly furious billow sweeping us away

I like it &mdash 02/16/07 - 08:59:22 AM
The electric piano grabbed me at the beginning and it just got better from there. The nice sparse drums gave it a real flavour.
But your voice is the star of this show. It's so clean and clear that it's really nice to listen to it. Plus you seem to have a very nice range!
Nicely done!

Refreshing. &mdash 02/16/07 - 10:43:13 AM
Ok, I have no idea what your lyrics are about. But the instrumental part is refreshingly creative. The initial electric piano leads one to suspect something 70s jazz rock (Miles Davis "Bitches Brew") but then you have the electronic sounds, and the vocals. This is all very original. Good job. excellent &mdash 02/16/07 - 11:39:11 AM
I think the new drum beat and effects made the song sound more polished and made it the kind of song you bob your head to, but I have to say that my heart belongs to the first version. I think the extra things here make me more distant from the immediate emotions I heard in the first, and the raw experimentalism. The main piano melody in the intro and in the trilling part and your incredible voice are so special, and in this new version they seem more muted - does that make sense? Then again, I like how you developed the vocal part in this new version. I like both versions in a different way, I guess, ha ha. [ Reply to This ]

What a lyric!!!... on the strength of the lyric alone, I'm hooked... somehow you buffer the grafity here in a lighter presentation...

beautiful &mdash 02/18/07 - 03:20:43 PM
you have some of the best lyrics. i don't know whether to cry (father puts his heart in sister's tomb) or laugh (quick brown fox...). this sounds lovely, again, your voice is wonderful here. [ Reply to This ]
Bjrk's little brother? &mdash 02/18/07 - 03:27:23 PM
You're doing a wonderful job here, Hn. I also can't quite comprehend the lyrics, but I'm really impressed with your musical and vocal performance. Your singing is confident and your voice sounds very pleasant. There are a few places where the pitch is slightly off, especially when you sing very high (how about a female voice for that?). But what you do with the synths and bass drum is quite phenomenal. I'm glad you ellaborated on the previous version, it was well worth your time! [ Reply to This ]
a new level &mdash 02/18/07 - 03:42:54 PM
I'm nailed to the ground here. This is amazingly great, hun. You brought your own artistry to an other level. Also, the very best singing I heard from you so far. This is a unique piece of music, my friend... So many wonderful things going on here. I would be delighted to do a collab with you some day...

'the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog' contains all 26 letters of the alphabet. A well known sentence for many typographists :-)

Not your ordinary bollocks &mdash 02/20/07 - 03:25:53 PM
Hey, Hn, is that you singing? Very nice vocals, whoever it is. Terrific music; not your* ordinary bollocks here. I'm very impressed. The vocals towards the end - and the music, actually - made me think of Bjork. I hope you take that for the compliment it is.
* Just in case you might misunderstand... when I say "your" I don't mean YOUR OTHER STUFF. This is an expression meaning you are WELL above the average. Creme de la creme, baby! :O) [ Reply to This ]
