Description:
Hi!

We guess anyone will know what this song is about. Thanx, rschletty!

Lyrics:
She is love, she is kindness
She is peace in the night
Bring it on, bring it on
Can't wait too long

She has taken all my worries
and sent them far from my sight
Bring it on, bring it on
A feeling strong

[chorus] Surrounded by the warmth of her arms
Healed by her mystical charms
She takes the hurt out of being on fire
She is Love

She is hope, she is joy
She is a river of dreams
She is purpose, she is promise
she tempers all my extremes

I was lost in the dark
a vessel searching for light
Her glowing smile is my new ark
A new horizon in sight

[chorus] Surrounded by the warmth of her arms
Healed by her mystical charms
She takes the hurt out of being on fire
She is Love

I will rise up to her like a dove
sent skyward into pure space
I see all beauty, all harmony
enfolded in her embrace

Those near death she'll vitalize
Her being none can eclipse
Her every breath I memorize
Promise of life from her lips

[chorus] Surrounded by the warmth of her arms
Healed by her mystical charms
She takes the hurt out of being on fire
She is Love

guys, &mdash 02/17/07 - 11:14:12 AM
im sorry i am not able to give you some really valuable comments. i'm almost not a musician at all. i can not go under the surface of a tune or melody and analyse it deaply. the only i can say is, if i like it or not and in this case i have to say i really love the song. the melody is great and sounds truly fantastic sung by richard. but as the highlight of all song i find that fantastic electric guitar solo. it really "kicks" the song and sounds great. oh and another really nice place is the one where is playing electric guitar together with, well is it some kind of brass (wind) instrument? it sounds very interesting together. and then strings are very very nice as well.
i really enjoyed it. thank you guys :)
oh and not to forget, i have to say i truly admire everyone, who can write lyrics. i'm literate as well but....well.... never able. it must be some kind of terrible genes deformation or what. ach well :) great richard, you are brilliant.

ps: the only thing, well im a foreigner, english is not my first language so i can easily overlook some distinctive signs, but who is the song about? about a love of your life richard? or is it a religious song?

Abide in Love &mdash 02/17/07 - 01:51:40 PM
Hi Pavlina. Thank you so much for your comments. The song is about two kinds of love: intimate love (Eros) and a higher universal love (Agape). I have tried to blend both kinds of love in the lyrics. The "she" can be the woman of a man's dreams. Or "she" can be Mother Mary or Mother Earth. "She" can be God.

"God is Love, and he who abides in Love abides in God and God in him." (I used to sing a Lucien Deiss song in church many years ago with those words).

I did gift this song to my wife for Valentine's Day 2007, so you can be sure that my heart goes out to her. She has been a great enabler in my life.

You may find it quite interesting to know that I had no idea I would write this song until Hendrik and Karl sent me their beautiful soundtrack with the "working" title "She Is Love". There have been six other songs from Mint01 which had working titles that spawned lyrics from me reflecting those titles. It's a fun challenge. I recommend it!

But you have already proven that you are a wonderful singer and recorder player! Your sense of flow and rhythm connect as well as any uttered lyrics.
