Description:
Our random collab offering. This was quite fun. Thank you to Regina for your awesome vocals!

Music composition, performance and production by Miss Chaos

Lyrics and vocals by Regina Zernay

One thing to note: This mp3 is sufferring from some compression distortion and low volume levels that we're aware of. We wanted to get this draft out there and hope to keep working on mastering this. Thanks for your understanding. :-)

I dig those drums miss chaos.. Please let go of the secret on how you do them:)
Great vocals Regina.

Nice composition and arrangement.

Good job, both of you!

Hey Thoddi! Thanks, man. I really appreciate the kudos. The drums? Ha! I dunno... It's all trial and error for me, and I spend quite a bit of time mixing them in 'just so'. I'm really glad someone noticed!

this is simpy a great tune. The fact that you guys hadn't worked with each other before blows my mind. It definitely has that comfortable feel, that happens when things pop organically. I love evreything about it. Bravo

GO GIRLS &mdash 02/18/07 - 03:23:15 PM
good going, ladies. nice keys! loved that zoom into the solo. the heaven/down section worked so well - and regina's vocal sounded especially yummy there. poison/medicine hook was a good one. the big deep strings at the end were the perfect way to blast off into the outro, where regina sounded positively synth-y on the last POISONs! excellent graphic - great teamwork. enjoyed, anne

This was such a cool "experiment" -- I love what has become of all our Random Collabs. I'm particularly fond of my own. :-) I think Regina is a suberb vocalist and knew exactly how to sing along to my music. I hold vocalists in such high regard because I approach music from such a different angle; the talent it takes to make the voice work just baffles and astounds me. I hope Regina gets a chance to pop in here and say hi to you all, too. :-) Thanks!

This was a fun experience and everyone's submissions have been really quite neat to hear. I hope Regina stays awhile and posts some of her music -- she totally rocks, and not just in the vocal department. From what I hear, she plays a mean bass too. ;-) I hope she can pop in here to say hi. Thanks!

I have your AMEN.

Everything Ms. Kay Ahs does is creative, professional, tasteful, and enjoyable to the ears. This is no exception.

And Regina, welcome to MacJams. You got stuck working with someone who is very highly regarded here, and I know you now understand why.

You two made some excellent music here. Congratulations.

impressed &mdash 02/19/07 - 09:15:23 AM
While this isn't normally my kind of music, I must say it is expertly done, and sounds like it could be on the radio. Actually it sounds a lot better than most of the songs I hear on the radio. This is very impressive. I really like the instrumental break. There are some some interesting chord prgressions there. The whole thing has a kind of James Bond feel to it. I am extremely impressed!

Hi Morris &mdash 02/20/07 - 04:01:43 PM
Thanks so much for listening and offering your thoughts. I hadn't thought of the James Bond similarity, but I agree -- Regina's vocals have that sensual edge. Thanks so much!

mmm &mdash 02/19/07 - 07:22:13 PM
those captivating MissChaos strings, now as cellos, and great bass synths... and the deliriously swirly signature arpeggios and interesting breaks and eat-it-up solo in the middle (that reminded me a bit of Tears for Fears for a bit), and Regina's vox are awesome, great singing, great lyrics! My nits are that the flangy effects on the vox are on the verge of being overused, I'm not sure if I want a little less or not... it was interesting, but near the end, I think I wanted less, even though I'm assuming it is supposed to be a metaphor for her being "out of phase" and needing more "medicine" :-) The other nit was the very very end, where her last line was panned far-left... that seemed odd to me. I'd have preferred her centered, though you could have echoes fade to the left maybe. Anyway, minor points for a massively addictive injection of MissChaos and Regina. Unfortunately the shakes will begin in a week or so, so I'd appreciate another hit soon, I'm addicted :-)
ttfn,
Drakonis

Thanks Drak &mdash 02/20/07 - 04:10:53 PM
I'm really glad you dig this tune -- something competely different than my usual stuff. I had such a blast doing something like this with MORE energy and LESS emotion. (well, the emotion is still there, I'm sure, just a different type). And then to have Regina's awesome voice on it. Well she just blew me away. Thanks for your comments. :-)

...for the warm welcome & all the kind things you guys have said!

Miss Chaos was so awesome to work with, I feel lucky to have been paired up with her. She's a great songwriter & producer, I can see why you guys have such nice things to say about her & her music.

I got the chance to listen to everyone's songs from the random collaboration project, and you guys ALL sounded great. Everyone brought something different to the table, but it was clear that each one of you is a skilled & talented musician.

I wish I was better with words! I wanted to tell you all the things that I liked about each of your songs. But for whatever it's worth, I enjoyed everything I heard and want to give you props for the work you did. This was so much fun! I can't wait to hear what everyone comes up with the next time around.

See you guys soon-

Regina

I'll see if Regina can post the lyrics or send them to me to post. Good tip. Glad you liked this -- thank you!

Miss C, I know you're all tetchy about self-promotion at times, but if you're putting out something this great under Random, PLEASE let me know... Could've missed it....

This is one of the all-time great collabs... Totally cool, totally professional, totally danceable... My first listen to Regina, and I'm impressed.... Lyrically tight... Love the vocals... It has a nice groove that also mixes with a pop froth that's just right for it...

Into the iPod...

Yes, I'm not one for self-promotion, but since you asked to be alerted, I will DEFINITELY let you know if I do another random song. I'm so flattered that you said something about it. Thanks so much. You're one of those people here who is the 'mark' of success for me. If you like it, then I must have done something right. :-)

Diggable &mdash 02/27/07 - 10:42:44 AM
I dig everything. Except the snare drum sound choice, which lacks the bite and emotion to match the track; I dig the trap and "ch" sounds, tho. And perhaps something with a portimento that could counteract the constant staccato feel, especially during the breaks; it would highlight the cool vocal stylings, I think. Cool electropop track. Really nice vocal performance.
