Description:
OK, here's one that's not all loops. Tried to get sort of an Allman Bros. feel out of this one. Bass and Lead guitar are real. The rest is loops, but it mostly sounds pretty organic. Heavy Blues w/ a Tele on the lead pickup (bridge) gets a pretty good Allman tone IMHO.

I love the way you've combined a number of very diverse instruments:
horns, organ, guitar, etc. This does have a very Allman feel to it, but
with a jazzy kick to boot. At points i thought the guitar seemed oh so
slightly dull, though this is kind of the Allman feel, so that could have
been what you were shooting for. I would have made it slightly more
dramatic, but that could just be my personal taste. Nice work.

Thanks. I really was going for an Allman sound, so I think that I pretty much
accomplished my mission based on your comments. Another main goal was
just to try and get an arrangement that sounded organic and traditional with
some actual chord progression and do some live playing over it. I feel that
this is kind of what many people (especially guitar players, and other
instrumentalists) want for practicing/demoing, etc. I've seen some posts
wondering if GB can even do progressions (it can) and this was my little
experiment to see what I could do. One slightly tricky thing, is that GB isn't
very good at providing all the pieces to everything. The Southern rock piano
loops I used have this nice minor turnaround/ false cadence and it was at this
point I really wanted to bring in the organ (more drmatically) I ended up
bringing the horns in to do the job because I couldn't get it done w/ the
existing organ loops. (I also don't yet have a USB midi interface, just a couple
old serial ones - just got an idea for a science project...)
