Hot and Steamie... &mdash 02/24/07 - 10:54:09 PM
What a great sonic platform to tantalize my semi-circular canals with. Great production, Dave. Love the crystal clarity in which this swims.
Bravo to the both of you, again.

almost has that car-radio-drivin'-down-that-long-west-Texas-panhandle-lonsome-two-lane-highway-where's-the-next-gas-station-and-why-aren't-there-any-headlights-comin'-back-the-other-way-did-we-take-the-wrong-turn-somewhere-and-ohh-my-look-at-that-sky vibe to it. I'm surprised you can pick up asignal that far out in the boonies.... Hope Roxanne doesn't get stood up.... Man I love the steel twang on that guitar, the bass is fitting for the piece, but to me I would have liked it more predominant as well. The drums are spot on as are the guitars, and a refreshing bit of departure from a lot of your music. Loved it! . - Harold [ Reply to This ]
Pass me... &mdash 02/25/07 - 12:49:25 PM
a beer! This sounds like sittin' back and watching a little NASCAR good ol' boys music! Git 'er done! Cool laid back groove. I like the lap steel sound the lead guitar has in spots. My only beef would be too much delay on the lead guitar parts. I loose the melody sometimes in the heavy delay. Unless, of course, that was to add to the laid back attitude of the song which, if that was the case, it worked! [ Reply to This ]

It's always easy for me to overdo the delay, and I wondered about the right amount on the lead in this song. So I appreciate your thoughts on that. Thanks, Glenn, I'm glad you dug this jam!

KILLA TRACK DEUCE &mdash 02/25/07 - 06:03:48 PM
The drums sound pristine and the guitar work is so organic and amazing! Had a cool Danny Gatton flavor! Nice work fella's! [ Reply to This ]
Dreamy &mdash 02/25/07 - 08:08:27 PM
This is a cool track! The guitars are so well performed, as the work on Drums on Demand... The involvement of Waltz (if that is what it is?), makes it more unique and stands as a good contrast, and positive, happy level to the song. [ Reply to This ]
The soundtrack... &mdash 02/25/07 - 08:20:15 PM
...for the psychedelic-metallic circus... I can just imagine what the trapeze artists have to do during this bit... and the acrobats... and don't get me started on the jugglers...
Terrific recording and a terrific conception all around...

Coming soon to a dance floor near you &mdash 02/26/07 - 01:14:04 PM
Way to bring it. Square intro turns righteous. Best Slow Rock dance song. Winning hearts everywhere. Way to meld Old Tyme bottom "oom-pa-pa" with high hard guitar.

Amazing BIG sound! Jaw-dropping production and playing...WOWZERS! Hints of Jerry Garcia in some of the lead riffing. Mondo drumming. This is really HUGE...I don't know how else to put it. An instant fave!
Be well!

Great guitar... &mdash 02/27/07 - 11:58:11 PM
Loved the guitars...this is a bit of a wacky waltz that has an insistent bounce to it. The echo is a bit much for my taste, but it seems well-conceived for this style. I especially like the last 30 seconds or so because you seem to be taking the tune somewhere...I wish that "somewhere" happened maybe 30 seconds earlier. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the number.

A circular sensation &mdash 03/05/07 - 04:15:07 PM
Nice! Is there a pun here in "rendezvous"? I, like dreadmon, often found myself picturing a carousel while listening. There is the short-term rhythm structure, but in longer time frames, there is this sort of cyclic rise and fall. All in all, nicely done. There's kind of a nice tension too between the continuity and sameness of the tune and the subtle variations. -- truthtable [ Reply to This ]

Nice guitar work, goes without saying, This has a loose free floating feel to it, I hear a lot of original playing here, nice accomplishment in itself.
Good music that has its own signature style, Thanks PV! [ Reply to This ]
Well done ---- &mdash 03/17/07 - 08:58:35 AM
Very nice guitar work. I think the compression on the drums was a little much and the reverb was just a bit over the top - (don't take it the wrong way - maybe you wanted that sound - all a matter of taste) other than that - I liked this very much.
Thanks for sharing,

Monster guitarwork in the hands of one of MJ's finest mix masters and arrangers.
One "meat and potatoes" tune here!
