I feel the same about the rain......:)* This is a beautiful song!!!!! Your voice is lovely, Joanna!!!! (I hope i have your name right!) I had an experience once that is permenantly etched on my mind......and this is more beautiful than I felt then.....I was craving rain, and then it started to fall and I went out and stood with my face to it and got drenched......it was wonderful....like a spiritual experience....I am still not sure why. Afterwards i felt totally transformed, for a while anyway :D)*
I personally really love the base as a contrast with your voice...... it is like the earth, and your voice like the joy of the rain. I wish I could sing like that!!!! Thanks for the beautiful song:)

a couple of spots where the vocals seemed to "peak" slightly in the mix ..... this was quite an enjoyable listen .... I too am still learning about the "levels" and keeping the vocals from dipping too low to peaking too high in the mix .... so am not necessarily qualified to speak on how to change this .... but the pitch... timing ... etc. of the vocal tracks were spot on to my ears ..... I just sort of felt my head tipping at times to the left due to the panning ..... and noticed that initially I thought the vocals were too low and then they escalated where they may have been a little too loud as the song progressed .... but I really liked the song as a whole .... I am guessing that my mixing comments are directed at Doddster ... (did he do the mixing ???). My suggestion as far as panning goes .. would be to not pan the entire vocal piece .. but perhaps to double the vocal and then pan one of the tracks ... so the effect is still that it was panned ... but it is easier on the ears in that it doesnt cause your head to lean into the sound .... does that make sense?

actually i do all my own vocal mixing and am learning with every track yes th vox are a little to much on the left...but att the time i made thisi had only been mixing 4 a coupleof months and what you say makes total sense....
I will get rouund to a remix oneday :)

Like it,... don't know if it's my hearing loss, but the main vox seems to all be on the left side.. would have liked it to pan more right as well. I'm on headhones, maybe that's it....

I always appreciate music that stretches out especially when it's done as well as this. Great vocals and excellent backing tracks. This song would do well in quite a few other genres, I like the overall laid back feel and fx worked into the tune, like listening outdoors. Sounds like you had a great time with this
