tenors... a delight, playing off the keyboard and bass.

Nice mood.

nice ideas here &mdash 03/01/07 - 10:29:20 AM
I like the whole-tone concept which runs throughout this piece.

Nice combination of sounds (GREAT to hear your live sax again!) and well-mixed.

I would have liked to hear more development, a contrasting section, in this piece to round it out a bit more completely.

It's always interesting to hear your music, though, and this piece created a good mellow mood first thing in the morning. ;-)

I like your artwork on this!

I see the point (love your comments, always did - you manage to suggest improvements in a most positive way imaginable - that's a skill!), however, in a greater scale of things (meaning my next hour of original music I intend to call an "album"), this little piece will become an intermission of sorts, so I did want to keep it simple and short. It will separate two other bigger songs... at least it's a plan :)

I, along with many others, look forward to your "album". It'll be GREAT!

And it's about time. ;-)

Such an accurate observation translated into a musical piece. The artwork and title are really spot-on. Your saxophone playing is soft, focused and wonderfully expressive. To me the e-piano is that nagging, never-ending flow of doubting thoughts, slightly dissonant with the shaker adding some "unrest". Then you contrast it with the flute and saxophone - adding color and "hope" so to speak. Again the artwork and title seem to express that better than words but what I appreciate more than anything else is that "simplicity" in your playing - nothing is superflous. I would love to hear a second and third part of this with different themes. Your soloing is very enjoyable with a smooth background like that.

This must be my midlife crisis manifesting itself yet another way :) The wholetone scale for me sounds very unstable, difficult to handle in a mental space, thus the name of the piece... you got the mood precisely...

I like it!
It's always nice to hear "real" instruments among the GB sounds. So much more expression.

I could imagine this piece played by a marimba (together wirh your sax of course), maybe you could try it?

greetings

Stefaan
