Description:
After the metal storm of winter - "Veturinn" - comes the clear night of Winter's End. Corny - I know - but my schizophrenic brain gets easily bored. This is mellow - like real mellow. I asked my wife if it was too long and she said she just wanted to loop it and let it go for a while. You may disagree.
Drum and piano loops - live bass.

This was going to be the beginning of something and then it just became the thing. I was tempted to go places - but then I just chilled on the playback and decided to let it be.

yes &mdash 03/02/07 - 01:00:42 AM
I was really stressed out.

And now

I'm.....not........

make it longer. Like, as long as my workday. Then pipe it into my office.

I can't really trust my wife in a situation &mdash 03/02/07 - 06:35:42 PM
like this. She's a painter and listens to the same CD over and over for a month at a time. Guess you two would get along.

tasty mellows &mdash 03/02/07 - 08:27:13 AM
The drum track seemed slightly too loud and repetitive for this track to be "laid back", but otherwise very sweet chords, nice piano. And your bass sounds great, nice playing there... grooving background music.

Drakonis

I've been workin kinda crazy lately - and this was my meditaion this week. No way I could play piano like this - god bless the little looper in my computer. Brushes are very possible - and a good idea.

Man &mdash 03/03/07 - 12:49:55 AM
Just had a meaningful yeah you know where is it all getting us night with my bro and all was left unsure. but I knew after all the chaos left the area it was cool and full bass just reaching out and looking for that note, never finding it just out of reach. Looking and realizing that what was heard was extra ordinary. Very cool

I hear yeah &mdash 03/03/07 - 09:34:26 AM
This was my chaos cure for the week. Hope all ends well. Enjoy the weekend.

Change of pace &mdash 03/03/07 - 02:28:20 AM
Pretty different from your last post, Bud! This is really soothing, adnd the mix sounds fine to me. It doesnt feel too long because you have a lot of little changes throughout ... feels like it needs some 3am vocals on it.

Nice work

Steve

I'm afraid if I tried singing on this I'd sound like Bill Murray and end up laughing too hard. I appreciate your comments.

agree with Lisa &mdash 03/03/07 - 08:08:06 AM
this could go on for a long time. at least 3 or 4 more months until spring arrives. soothes the aching snow shoveling muscles!

Funny, isn't it... &mdash 03/03/07 - 06:27:36 PM
...how some songs that go on forever or repeat or loop a lot seem to go on FOREVER, and sort of get you climbing the walls...

And others end up seeming like a refreshing vacation from the world, a step away into some other space, and you could let them play for some other, GOOD kind of forever...

This is so simple, and it's just great...

Ed

Music can be a balm at times as opposed to bomb.

Loved that &mdash 03/04/07 - 06:10:56 PM
A new aspect of your talent. Saw you more as a rockin' dude, but I can see your musical curiosity has no boundaries. Bass is really cool, round and warm. Loved it, just found the ending a bit abrupt.

Thanks Youra &mdash 03/04/07 - 07:45:02 PM
e of you to be so supportive. I know what you mean about the ending. I really diidn't have one and sort of thought of the whole song as one long loop.

Very nice! &mdash 03/05/07 - 01:53:59 PM
And extrememly mellow and mellow-fying. No prob about the length. When you're mellow you don't care much...Besides, several of my tunes clock in at just under 7 minutes! All in all, a nice departure.

Be well!
