Description:
Beware: there's a prolonged bit of intense screaming about one minute into this. But it's only an actress in an obscure movie; no one was hurt in the production of this song. I used it because it's a very interesting scream that morphs melodically. So, the "jungle of the consciousness" is sort of a euphamism for the tangled mess resulting from the clash of needs, wants, and inhibitions in the mind. The song mimics the conception of the mind as a self-consciousness of the coexistence of rationality and imagination in the same brain: the forboding, violent part is rationality, and the more happy, ambient part is imagination. I swear I didn't come up with any of this until just now. I think it's a wonderful tune, though. Still a work in process; the mix may be sub-optimal. Lyrics:

I then read the description and this 'blew me away'. I STILL haven't digested this.
When I've read through the description a few more times I'll listen to the music again and see if anything changes in my appreciation.
I used to just 'listen' to music on here. Now I'll have to imagine the rationality of it all, but as a whole, instead of compartmentalising every type of experience into some sort of concrete or abstract reality.
Music for the brain, as well as the emotions.
Perfect.
Take care.
Paul.
