Description:
This is a track I did for the RPM Challenge this year. This is a remix by Deadman Turner, who also plays electric guitar on the track. The other song from the challenge that I have up is Kamakura.

Kinda pagan. I think of it as the opposite of c#ck rock.

Hey, it's downloadable now!

whoopee!

Lyrics:
Waxahatchee
Piston splashy
Cornbread in a row.
Churn the butter
Milk the udder
What does Bessie know.

Pregnant!
Pregnant again?
Pregnant!
Pregnant again!

Baleful bellow
Mustard yellow
Caffeine is a gift.

Give us wonder
Far down under
Marianas Rift.

Pregnant!
Pregnant again?
Pregnant!
Pregnant again!

Mother mother
Give the other
Something new to breathe.

Soothe the thunder
Bathe the hunter
Waiting to recieve.

Pregnant!
Pregnant again!
Pregnant!
Pregnant again!

Hardware:
Yamaha beater, Hohner acoustic bass beater, cheesy friction pegged lap dulcimer (actually in tune on this 'un!). GT55 thru a 410. I don't know D. T.'s setup, I'll have to ask him.

Software:
GB2, apple loops for duh drums.

Oh yeah... &mdash 03/04/07 - 02:18:22 PM
The lyrics are kind of automatic writing I did, some of it was previously posted on usenet, some of it was written later.

Very cool this! &mdash 03/05/07 - 02:24:32 PM
It's so good to have you back Duane. I've been a fan of your sound since MATINEE. This is quite good and, yes, psychedelic! DT's guitar work throughout is a gas!

Be well!

Oh brother... &mdash 03/22/07 - 02:25:00 AM
...the infamous RPM Challenge. I called my self particiapting in that thing. Didn't finish one single song. (Not even close) But came up with five or six really great songs that expanded my thinking and will progably change my songwriting and recording techniques forever. So I consider it a success. But I digress, this is one very cool swamp song. Especially the lyrics and that backwards sfx you got in there. I'm willing to bet the lyrics came pretty easy once you bought into the throw caution to the wind aspect of the challenge. (something I realized on about the 25th of the month.)

I really like the production - &mdash 04/03/07 - 02:53:04 PM
the sound is complete - it suits the lyrics, licks and vocals. The backwards guitar is well played in it's fluidity. Cool song.
