Description:
Yes, it's another LOTR (book, not movie) inspired one. It's dificult to write these without being heavily influenced by Shore and his great soundtrack, but I think I've succeeded. I think the next CD will be a LOTR/TH/Sil inspired one, though. :D

Very pretty! Breath taking actually! I love the melody! So serene! Did you play the harp and piano? [ Reply to This ]

When the last eagle flies over the last crumbling mountain, And the last lion roars at the last dusty fountain, In the shadow of the forest though she may be old and worn, They will stare unbelieving at the last unicorn!

Nice &mdash 03/07/07 - 05:10:29 PM
The Grey Havens is one of the saddest part of the trilogy, all those goodbyes and the finality of it... or maybe I'm always bummed that I've reached the end of the books. But anyway, this sounds great, nice work Elfdaughter! [ Reply to This ]
Thanks PV! &mdash 03/07/07 - 05:46:59 PM
True, but don't forget the hope that's there as well - Frodo is finally going to be away from the pain and suffering his wound was causing him, and after all, it's not a final godbye. Sam, as a ringbearer, if only for a short time, also makes his way to Valinor later on, as do Gimli and Legolas, so although Valinor doesn't give Frodo and Bilbo the life of the Eldar, it prolongs their life without suffering and pain, and I like to think they all met up there. (Except of course Merry, Pippin, Aragorn and Arwen...;) )

LOTR an absolute fav &mdash 03/07/07 - 07:35:33 PM
exellent... I've read these every 3 years or so, for the last 30 years... I don't really read the books, I visit middle earth... thanx J R Tolkein... anyway to the point... this would have worked very well in the movie... It certainly takes me there... very good job... sad yet hopeful
I was so afraid to see the movies because J R did such a good job of painting the pictures for me... I didn't want those images to be replaced ... I will say I was plesently surprised at how well Jackson capured middle earth... no small help from Shore... the soundtrack propelled the film well into it's trajectory [ Reply to This ]
Thanks, Scott! &mdash 03/08/07 - 04:59:11 AM
Thanks! And I agree, PJ did an amazing job, and Shore's soundtrack is just amazing...
