Description:
this is an old recording of mine off my VF-80, so all the tracks are locked as they are. Any reworking will require complete reconstruction of the entire song. Hence the fact that this is an old recording, as I just have no immediate desire to tackle this. I would love to add some tribal drums to the second half, as well as some ambient layers to help the rises and falls, of which this song has several. it's based on a little minute and a half piece i recorded one time called sunrise. the melody ran through my head all the time, until I came up with some way to work it into a song.

Lyrics:
leave me in silence. my own swift devices come crashing down. I've been around enough to know my heart's not welcome anymore. I believed the show; all around here is God. I found that we got away with it this far. We had love to give.

Hardware:
VF-80, ovation

to hear it in this state, really great vocal and harmony treatment. some nice solo guitar lines. sometimes the starkness can say a lot.

many thanks &mdash 07/10/07 - 09:01:10 PM
wow, thank you for your kind words. It's nice when you know someone is actually listening. umm, the guitar is an Ovation ck 047. I think this is the first thing i recorded when i bought it. I have an older version i recorded with a cheap art & luthier. For a cheap guitar, it actually has a pretty big sound. I would like to put a pickup in it to see how it would sound. I always just mic'd it.
For the most part though, I much prefer the ovation.
