Description:
This song is played on an 8-string, and sounds a bit as if recorded in the men's room, but it isn't. I wouldn't be able to play there anyway :)
But I' going to re-record this one, maybe with bass and 6-string guitar.

8-string guitar &mdash 03/09/07 - 10:33:50 AM
An 8-string, how cool is that. Do you have a photo of it? Love those lower strings. Wonderful music, playing, writing. Crosses the centuries.

Stupid me? &mdash 03/09/07 - 10:48:08 AM
Unfortunately, I haven't got it any more. I got rid of it because I didn't feel perfectly at ease with the guitar.

But sometimes I have regrets.

Poised performance &mdash 03/09/07 - 12:41:44 PM
Soothing, calm, profound while exploring a variety of unique chord structures. What a treat! The sound of this instrument is beautiful (the recording could be a bit more transparent) and your playing is just fascinating! Although it's perfect as it is, I always hear some additional instruments, like soft strings in the back (maybe I just listened to Pat Metheny's group a little too much!). Thanks for the nice comment on Heroes - I'm glad I came across your music! Hope you'll continue to post. And yes, welcome to MacJams!

Very talented... &mdash 03/09/07 - 12:45:17 PM
with the guitar. I enjoy this, and I actually like the reverb and sound, it gives it an ethereal feel. It really creates a great mood setting. Very good recording and playing.

Beautiful piece... &mdash 03/09/07 - 02:25:44 PM
...played to perfection.
I can relate...
Who's the maker of the 8string?

BIG WHOOPS!!! &mdash 03/09/07 - 02:54:20 PM
Not the way I meant it to sound.
Should be:
"I can relate SO WELL TO YOUR MUSIC"
Not that I can relate to your excellent playing. I'm my worst critic.
Suffice it to say that I'm glad to have found your site.

Hi &mdash 03/10/07 - 01:53:36 AM
It was made by a Belgian luthier Walter Verreydt, but I don't have it anymore. I didn't feel 100% at ease with this guitar. But I'm happy to have written this somg with it.

Thanks

I agree the recording quality could be improved, but the playing is beautiful. A very expressive piece--thanks for posting!

Your both guitarsongs are wonderfull. Calm and relaxing, very well played. You should re-record this with Garageband...I am sure we will listen much more of you when you got Garagebandaddicted. That would be nice.

Love the &mdash 04/18/07 - 01:57:07 PM
cathedral sound. Reminds me of when I saw Segovia play at a cathedral type structure.

Nice rolling type arpeggios that flow beautifully!

The guitar I used here is in fact a cathedral, an eight string!

Awesome! &mdash 03/29/08 - 09:00:04 AM
Man ... I knew that you are bassist generally but I wish I was half as good as you as a guitarist!! I'm also an acoustical guitarist but I wish someday to reach your level. Your fingers here are flying my friend, the composition and the chords played here are awesome. Another masterpiece sir ...

Deepest Bows (as ZITI would say!)
